Kate Raffin is a passionate communicator and has a deep commitment to social justice. Her work is based in the learnable skills, practices and tools of Nonviolent Communication and Restorative Circles. She plays a leading role in supporting communities in a spirit of inclusion and respect, putting re-connection to what truly matters and why we are here at the forefront.

As a Certified Trainer with the Centre for Nonviolent Communication and a Mediator Accredited under the National Australian Mediator Accreditation System, Kate is informed by her experience of living, working and playing in Community. She is also a Team Animator with Play in the Wild! Initiations into Nonviolence for young people, educators and families. Kate is sincerely honoured to be on the board of Babatree International.

Kate is a skilled Facilitator, Mediator and Mentor specialising in Team and Community Up-skilling and Cohesion. Her work addresses ‘harvesting’ from and responding to the riches and common challenges we face as people working and/or living together. Having a passion for working with groups, Kate understands the significant contribution of the development and maintenance of the essential critical structures + practises that ensure health + wellbeing of communities, families, couples and groups.

These include developing Conflict Response Systems, Decision Making Processes, Feedback Systems, Vision, Values, Goals Identity, Governance, Individual and Group Wellbeing.   In this time of great change and uncertainty, Kate is increasingly inspired, nourished and sustained about facilitating and participating in the Work that Reconnects. The results of all of this are often astounding and beyond what we thought possible.

“My mission includes seeing ourselves as already whole, working to reveal and increase agency, choice and self responsibility with our unhelpful training in patriarchal and colonial conditioning.”
