Marla Jardine
My name is Marla Jardine, and I feel so fortunate to live a purposeful life helping people in our west coast paradise. I am passionate about the magic of Nonviolent Communication (NVC).
I was already blessed with a fulfilling career as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse when I discovered NVC in 2005. Having helped clients in a variety of settings as an RPN, I immediately recognized the immense power of NVC’s simple and effective communication format to facilitate mental wellness. Driven by the possibilities to help people in a different way, I dove into its study, becoming a Certified Trainer in 2010.
It is enriching to share NVC in my work with individuals, couples, Executives, First Nations, public and private sectors, health agencies, and non-profit societies. NVC is the platform on which I utilize my training in Psychiatric Nursing, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing to create empathic connections and effective solutions.
I also facilitate workshops for Wellness Recovery Action Plans, Critical Incident Stress Debriefings, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and a variety of mental health/wellness topics. So, if you have other ideas how I might help you or your teams, please let me know. I’m happy to explore how I can help you bring peaceful, meaningful communication to your life.
