Supporting Membership is how you officially affiliate yourself with CNVC - the global home of Nonviolent Communication, founded by Marshall Rosenberg in 1984.
It is not a subscription. It is a yearly renewal of your commitment to a shared vision: a world where everyone’s needs matter and people use their power to foster connection, build collaborative communities, and address differences peacefully.

We recognise that people’s access to resources varies enormously across the world and often changes through time.
So, we invite you to choose a yearly contribution that cares for your needs, and also cares for CNVC's organizational needs. This could be $1, or it could be more.

We want membership to be equitable and accessible for everyone, no matter your income or where you live.

We invite you to make a yearly contribution of 0.1% of your household income.

Is there a minimum contribution?
There is certainly no enforced minimum. CNVC asks you to reflect on 0.1% of your household income as a guide - but any contribution is welcome, and you may also choose to simply donate without becoming a member.
How does renewal work?
Membership is annual. You'll receive a renewal invitation each year. CNVC frames renewal as "an annual renewal of your commitment" rather than an automatic charge - it's a conscious choice, made each year.

As one of CNVC's Supporting Members, we are eager to get your feedback about how this program is working.

DISCOUNT OF 10% ON TUITION AT CNVC’S INTENSIVE TRAININGS
10% discount for tuition for the International Intensive Training programs (IITs and VITs)
As long as you have been a Supporting Member for more than 6 months before the IIT start date, you are eligible for your member discount on tuition.
During the registration for an IIT, you have 3 steps to take: 1) pre-register; 2) register and pay; 3) details.
Step 2 includes the oppportunity to share that you are a CNVC Supporting Member, so we can confirm and apply your discount.
*discount does not apply to the accommodation/food part of the IIT experience
What if I can't afford it right now?
Many CNVC resources - the Feelings & Needs Inventory, Marshall Rosenberg's recordings, practice groups - are free and always will be. If membership isn't accessible right now, that's okay. The door remains open, and free resources remain available. You are welcome here regardless.
Does membership make me a voting member?
Supporting Members do not vote in Board Elections. Voting membership requires specific qualifying criteria. Supporting Membership offers all other benefits and is the appropriate path for most practitioners, learners, and trainers.

What's the difference between membership and a donation?
A donation supports CNVC's mission financially with no formal affiliation. Supporting Membership additionally grants you access to the Global Home platform, the video library, exclusive events, and training discounts - and officially affiliates you with CNVC as a Supporting Member.
