Programs Department - Looking Back At 2025 And Ahead To 2026

Dear Community,

We, the Programs Department (P.D.) staff, want to share some of our celebrations and learnings from 2025 as well as our goals for 2026.

2025:

Here are some of the key priorities we identified during our in-person staff meeting in Spain in January 2025:

• ➡️ IIT Feedback and Improvement - proactive and responsive ✅
• ➡️ Increase engagement with IIT Trainer Teams ✅
• ➡️ Reboot Online IIT ✅
• ➡️ Build the relationship between PRC and PD ✅
• ➡️ Develop new programs for increased accessibility and reach ✅
• ➡️ Improve payment process for IIT Participants ✅
• ➡️ Volunteer engagement - invite volunteers to support CNVC’s vision and mission ✅
• ➡️ Collaboration an online mediation program 🛠️
• ➡️ Make CNVC more visible at IITs 🛠️

In December 2025 we looked back on the year and we were very satisfied to realize that we achieved most of the above (hence the ✅) and that a few items are still work in progress (🛠️).

We also had some big learnings, for example around communicating more with our stakeholders about who we are, what we do, and especially why we do certain things. 🙏 We have become more empowered to share our boundaries with Organizer and Trainer Teams. In addition, we have received heart-warming input from past and present Organizers across the world. When we go round in circles, we can simply ask for input around certain topics and our work is truly a co-creation. 🤩

2026:

In late December, we had a brainstorming session on what we want to focus on in 2026 and identified the following priorities with their objectives:

• ▶️ Program Quality, Consistency & Participant Experience - Deliver consistently high-quality, participant-centered programs across all IITs and new formats.
• ▶️ Trainer & Organizer Alignment and Fit - Strengthen collaboration, clarity, and mutual fit with Trainers (TTs/STs) and Organizers: for ease, efficiency and effectiveness.
• ▶️ Operational Ease, Automation & Financial Flow - Make P.D. operations simpler, faster, and less error-prone for staff, organizers, and trainers.
• ▶️ New Programs & Strategic Expansion - Expand reach, relevance, and impact through well-aligned new program formats.
• ▶️ Communication, Visibility & Program Promotion - Make Programs visible, understood, and compelling to members, trainers, and stakeholders.
• ▶️ Team Wellbeing & Sustainability - Sustain a healthy, effective Programs Department team.

These are now getting actionable strategies attached with each of us gaining clarity and motivation to contribute to the collective goals.

CNVC Programs Department Mission:

The Programs Department designs, delivers, and continuously evolves high-quality learning experiences that support people at all stages of their Nonviolent Communication learning process. Through accessible, inclusive, and impactful programs, the Programs Department fosters personal transformation, strengthens communities, and cultivates leadership for meaningful social change.

CNVC Programs Department Vision:

A thriving global ecosystem of sustainable and scalable Nonviolent Communication programs.

Can you tell, from the above, that we are having FUN and feel very grateful to be working for this organization and, through our work, supporting its mission and vision? Meaning and purpose as well as learning and growth are things we all experience.
