Inside of an International Intensive Training: A new film by CNVC
Dear Friends of CNVC,
We are celebrating the release of a 19-minute film of a recent Nonviolent Communication Intensive Training in Romania that provides a glimpse into what it’s like to participate in one of our 9-day immersive trainings.
Our goal in creating this film was to capture a “felt-sense” of an IIT and be able to share it with others who might benefit from it. We’ve been wanting to do this for a long time and finally, we have done it!
As you might guess, however, it was not easy – filming an event like this is delicate due to the vulnerability involved on everyone’s part, and it took a lot of effort to communicate, negotiate needs, and make sure that everyone involved had choice about how to appear and whether to appear in the film.
We are deeply grateful to the team that hosted and presented this IIT, for navigating the complexity involved in videotaping, and supporting CNVC in making it happen including:
- Organizers & Hosts: Alexandru Moldovan, Monica Reu, Lars Veraart, Stefana Forgaciu, and Ian Peatey
- Filmmaker: Martin Schneider-Lau
- Trainers: Robyn Marie Bors Veraart (also a host), Roxy Manning, Frank Gaschler, Reena Ginwala, and Simran Wester, who put us in touch with the filmmaker
We hope that you enjoy it, and please leave your comments below the video if you have any. Also, if you like it, please share it on social media, email, or with anyone who you think might enjoy seeing it — this will help us to reach more people who could benefit from Nonviolent Communication.
