Finance Coordinator
About the Center for Nonviolent Communication (CNVC)
Founded in 1984, the Center for Nonviolent Communication (CNVC) is a global organization dedicated to sharing the teachings of Nonviolent Communication (NVC) as developed by Dr. Marshall Rosenberg. Our mission is to unite and support people who learn, share, and apply Nonviolent Communication around the world.
About the Role
The Finance Coordinator holds the day-to-day life of CNVC's Finance function. You are the person who makes the operational reality work — payroll, receivables, payables, international payments, reconciliations — and who becomes the go-to expert on how our multi-currency, multi-country financial life actually flows.
This is a hands-on role that also carries a distinctly human dimension. Financial matters at CNVC often carry human context — cancellations, refunds, late payments, scholarship questions — that call for both administrative accuracy and thoughtful communication. You will be a first point of contact for the community on these matters, applying both accurate administration and the empathic communication our community expects.
The role sits within a Finance function currently being re-articulated. Our long-serving Finance Coordinator retires at the end of 2026, and the person joining will help shape how the function works going forward, in partnership with the incoming Finance Controller.
