I am grateful that, despite experiencing severe violence as a child, I yearned for freedom, peace, and dignity. This longing led me to Nonviolent Communication (NVC). When I first encountered NVC in 2012, I saw it as an opportunity for personal growth and connection. I was searching for affordable ways to learn it. The commitment to finding these opportunities required the same energy as the inner work needed to connect with myself. My motto was that learning nonviolence should be cost-free, and I was prepared to practice alone if necessary.
I received support twice from CNVC, once in 2017 and then in 2018, to attend an IIT, and a third time in 2019, I received a small inheritance. In 2018, I received trainer recognition from the German-speaking professional association, and in 2023, I was certified by CNVC. In line with my low-budget learning approach, I have built a networking group dedicated to making NVC financially accessible.
I'm fascinated by Marshall's words: Nonviolent Communication applies even to people like Hitler; otherwise, it's not true because every person is trying to fulfill their needs through their actions and words. This currently guides my regional information, practice, and trainer training offerings in Freiburg im Breisgau.
