I'll tell you a little about my story
I had a happy childhood. However, now I see that there were events in my history that have surfaced in recent years that have confronted me with traumas that have been difficult for me to decipher and that have affected how I relate, both with men and women and, especially, with women as couples.
When I was born my mother was about to die. She had a heart condition since she was 12 and after she became pregnant with my older brother they told her not to even think about getting pregnant again. But her desire to have another child was stronger than her warnings and she, with great courage, became pregnant with me. I imagine that she experienced her pregnancy with great joy, but also with fear. And when I was born, she had heart failure that caused pulmonary edema. I imagine the birth was hard.
I lived with my sick mother for 9 years. I imagine that sometimes she felt strong and other times more unwell. Now I see that I grew up afraid of making people upset, which made me a very repressed person. How are you going to express the natural frustration and anger that children experience when they don't like something when your mother is so upset? Finally, my mother died when I was 9 years old from another pulmonary edema due to heart failure.
All of this marked me in a very deep way, although at the time I repressed it because they are very intense experiences to be sustained by a child. And, although these experiences are relegated to the unconscious, sooner or later they emerge and are expressed as a great difficulty in close and intimate relationships. Still, I remember myself being happy in my childhood.
After my mother's death and in the middle of his pre-adolescence, my father began to drink and developed significant alcoholism that would accompany him throughout his life. So I lived in a pretty deep orphanhood. All of this caused me great suffering and seriously damaged my self-esteem, as well as my security, sense of direction in life and confidence. All of this has been the driving force of my search for peace and meaning, and has led me to train first in Transgenerational Systemics, then in Nonviolent Communication and, finally, in Gestalt Therapy.
I discovered strategic coaching relatively recently and I love it as a complementary tool to the ones I already have.
With these four tools I help people create a quality relationship with themselves, and quality relationships with other people and their environment. This helps them align their goals with their life mission, rewrite the patterns that prevent them from achieving their dreams, and live a fuller, more meaningful life.
My qualities
I have a natural talent for training. From a very young age I was an English teacher and I have always received very good feedback about my way of teaching. Additionally, this has given me the experience of working with people one-on-one and in groups, to take into account their learning styles and to be sensitive to what they need.
For me, accompanying people has a very important pedagogical component. I feel very capable of contributing to the well-being and development of people with the pedagogical and therapeutic approaches that I have developed and applied to hundreds of people in my training and sessions. They are the same tools that I apply in my own personal development and evolution. They are the resources that have helped me and are helping me create the life I want full of good things and high-quality relationships.
My passion and my values
MY PASSION: I love giving people resources to improve their lives and making the process of this learning fascinating. I don't want to help people feel better through avoidance mechanisms. I want to help them find themselves, to have clarity, to embrace their experiences and history and, from there, to transform their experience and their living conditions.
The result is greater well-being, more clarity, energy, creativity, confidence, harmony in your relationships and abundance. I am passionate about exploring and discovering what is at the base of our person and I am always discovering and learning about myself and others in my professional activity.
MY VALUES: I really value finding meaning in what happens to us and what we experience; the connection with other human beings; heal what makes us suffer; communication, authenticity, recognition of how human we are. I value having the courage to face our shadow and having resources to accommodate this experience. I value justice, consideration, sensitivity, respect, equality. For me it is very important to have the courage to see our flaws and recognize when we do not behave in accordance with our values because our conditioning runs deep. I value having the necessary resources to sustain our irrationalities and vulnerabilities to be able to integrate them and become increasingly more complete and capable human beings, especially with respect to relationships and communication.
My vision and my mission
MY VISION: I see myself as a kind of mixing board. Of all the tools that I have developed in different trainings, and of all the resources that I have cultivated in my career, I believe that I can provide a compendium of tools to help people in their personal development, especially when it comes to communication, relationships, the search for meaning, inner peace and, and achieving your goals.
MY MISSION: As a therapist: Help people to have more clarity about what prevents them from connecting with their most authentic self, to welcome what they reject and block them and take actions to achieve what they want, long for or dream of.
As a trainer: provide people with tools to manage their life, their communication and their relationships
My experience and training
Communication is my passion. I am certified by the Royal Society of the Arts of the United Kingdom as an English language teacher for foreigners. The pain and confusion that I have experienced in my life have been the driving forces of my search for peace and meaning and what led me to train in Transgenerational Family Systemic Therapy at the Esser Institut of Elche, Alicante with Angélica Olver and Tiiu Bolsman, in Gestalt Therapy at Team Center, in Madrid and in Nonviolent Communication. Recently I have been training in Strategic Coaching. These four pillars support my approach and my work methodology.
I have brought NVC to a diverse multicultural and multinational organizations in different sectors such as banking and finance, R&D, cosmetics, medical, educational, governmental, and a few more. I also have participated in mediations in conflicts between departments or within departments in organizations, some of which have been caused, at least in part, by differences in cultural backgrounds, so I have a good sense how these differences can make communication difficult.
