Through my work in peace building and dialogue facilitation, many Nonviolent Communication concepts came to me before I learned to name them as such. Since 2015, I have been actively learning NVC and sharing it, mainly in Ukraine, leading the Peace Engineer School project that brings NVC and conflict resolution skills to Ukrainians willing to act as insider-mediators.

My certification was with the (very international) South-West Germany assessor team, and I am looking forward to many more international connections within the growing NVC community.

I am the region lead for Eastern Europe and Eurasia region at PAX, the largest peace building organization in the Netherlands. Her work over the past twenty years has centered around conflict resolution, peace building, and dialogue processes in conflict-affected areas in countries around Russia. In 2014, she set up and now leads the PAX’s Ukraine programme to develop local capacity for dialogue facilitation in the “Peace Engineer School.” I am a member of the Dutch Knowledge Alliance for Russia and Eastern Europe.
