People are miracles of connection. We are constantly moving, meeting each other and working together. Sometimes we tend to hold on to what we know, sometimes we withdraw. And sometimes we lose a sense of connection and stop collaborating altogether...

When we feel good about ourselves and the world, we have spaciousness to connect easily. And then there are challenging moments. Situations in which it is suddenly difficult to experience connection and express it in words and deeds. Then conversations can take a lot of energy, as we start talking about each other, in stead of to each other. Or we stop making contact and start attacking and blamingg each other with words. Or worse.

Since 2006, I have been helping people to experience freedom and safety and to see possibilities where they are not obvious. Usually through training and sometimes also by guiding conversations, between two or more people. So that you feel comfortable enough to explore what's needed, through honesty and empathy. And choose words that suit you and increase the chance of connection rather than distance. 

My support is rooted in my experiences with Marshall Rosenberg's Nonviolent Communication (since 2006), the Japanese peace art Aikido (since 1992), and Peter Levine's Somatic Experiencing (since 2020).

Trainer's primary language

Mensen zijn wonderen van verbinding. We zijn voortdurend in beweging, ontmoeten elkaar en werken samen. En soms houden we vast aan wat we kennen, soms trekken we terug en soms werken we langs elkaar heen…

Als we lekker in ons vel zitten, hebben we genoeg in huis voor ons samenspel. Én er zijn uitdagende momenten. Situaties waarin het opeens lastig is om verbinding te ervaren en woorden te geven. Dan vreet samenwerking energie en praten we niet langer met elkaar, maar over elkaar. Of we stoppen met contact maken en gaan elkaar met woorden te lijf. Als gedoe en gedonder op de loer liggen, en je graag je aandacht weer wilt richten op dat wat wél werkt, ben je bij mij aan het goede adres.

Ik help mensen sinds 2006 om speelruimte en veiligheid te ervaren en mogelijkheden te zien waar die niet voor de hand liggen. Meestal door training en soms ook door het begeleiden van gesprekken, tussen twee of meer mensen. Zodat jij je voldoende veilig voelt om te verkennen wat je eigenlijk nodig hebt. In rust en vertrouwen kunt luisteren naar de waarheid van een ander.  En woorden kiest die bij je passen én de kans op een openhartig gesprek groter maken dan de kans op meer gedoe. Dat is waarvoor je bij mij terecht kunt.

Mijn ondersteuning is geworteld in mijn ervaringen met Marshall Rosenbergs Geweldloze Communicatie (sinds 2006), de Japanse vredeskunst Aikido (sinds 1992), en Peter Levine’s Somatic Experiencing (sinds 2020).
