"Our survival as a species depends on our ability to recognize that our well-being and the well-being of others are in fact one and the same."

My work as a CNVC Certified Trainer is supported by my experience as an Accredited Family Mediator, a CNHC-registered Yoga Therapist and, before any of that, a professionally trained actor and theatre maker. I run a CIC called Talking Peace, based in Canterbury, Kent. It's a space where people come to figure out the tricky stuff: how to stay connected when things feel broken, how to have hard conversations, and how to find a way forward when conflict feels stuck.

The work I do tends to fall into two areas:

The first is mediation. I work with families going through separation, neighbours who've fallen out, and organisations navigating workplace tensions to resolve conflicts out of court but within the UK judicial framework. I offer MIAM's, Mediation Session, Memorandum Drafting that clients can take to make legally binding.

The second is communication training. I run NVC Trainings for Individuals, couples, families, community groups, and workplace teams. These trainings are grounded in NVC. And influence by my yoga therapy and theatre background, trainings typically incorporate embodied exercises, breathing practices for nervous system regulation, role plays, plays back and forum theatre all as learning aids for this work.

Collaborative NVC projects I am involved in.
I care deeply about this work, not just in my own practice but in the wider world. In 2026 I became a friend of NVC UK, I am creating shared pre and post training forms for trainers and participants in the UK. The aim is to collect data on the personal and social impact of NVC in the UK, and to use the NVC UK website as a space to share that data. These forms focus on understanding whether engaging with NVC trainings in the UK improves participants' sense of connection—including belonging, meaning, and happiness—and reduces isolation—including loneliness, conflict, and violence. My hope is that the data we gather will strengthen our ability to demonstrate the efficacy of NVC, make marketing NVC in the UK easier, and support our success in funding applications.

In 2025 I took a my place on the steering committee for the EU Caravan, a yearly event focused on applied NVC. We are looking at developing the yearly event and potentially championing some EU research projects between UK, Ireland and the Netherlands on applied NVC in Policing, Emergency Services and Healthcare.

Right now, I'm especially excited about a project that brings together all the different parts of me: an interactive theatre piece for young adults. I want to use the immediacy of live performance to connect with young people in a way that feels real and relevant, to spark their curiosity and show them there's another way to navigate the ups and downs of relationships. My dream is that it might draw a new younger generation into the NVC community here in the UK.

I look forward to supporting you, your family, or your team to build meaningful relationships that last.

“What this means for you is simple: I listen with empathy. I can meet you in your pain without flinching. I hold safe and confidential spaces. I help de-escalate when things feel overwhelming. My approach isn't clinical or heavily legal. It's human, caring, and safe. Whether I am mediating a family separation, supporting a workplace dispute, training teams to communicate more effectively, or helping a couple strengthen their relationship, I combine rigorous professional accreditation with a profound human skillset. My work is always in service of reducing suffering and building lasting, peaceful solutions.”
