Children desperately need to be seen in their needs for freedom, independence and efficiency, and for them to receive messages of support, love and justice. The importance of teaching children effective methods of nonviolent communication lies in establishing a non-violent link, whether between the child and himself or between him and others.

Nonviolent Communication (NVC) is a method of communication based on a focus on establishing sympathetic relationships (Rosenberg, 2003), and the primary goal of nonviolent communication is to create a better communication between people, and this is done by being aware of their feelings and needs as well as being aware of the feelings and needs of others, as (Rosenberg, 2004) said “communicating with what is alive within us” at the present moment.

The study problem: The present study problem is determined in the following inquires: What is the of the effectiveness of the program in developing Non-violent Communication in a sample of children?

Aim of the study: Current study seeks to achieve the following: Validation of the effectiveness of the program in developing Non-violent Communication in a sample of children.

Hypothesis of the study: There is a statistically significant difference between the average scores of the experimental group of children in the measurements before and after the application of the program on the scale of Non-violent Communication. There is no statistically significant difference between the average scores of control group scores of children in the measures before and after the program on the scale of Non-violent Communication. There are statistically significant differences between average scores of the children of the experimental group and the control group in the post-measurement on the nonviolent communication scale for children in favor of the experimental group. There are no statistically significant differences between average scores of the experimental group of children in the post-measurement and follow-up of the application of the program on the nonviolent communication scale.

Study Sample: The study has been applied on (40) children (boys and girls). (20) children of the experimental group as well as (20) children of the control group, between (9-12) years old.

Study Tools: The study includes the following tools: Program to develop Non-Violent Communication (prepared by the reseacher). Non-Violent Communication Scale for children (prepared by the researcher). Scale of social economical state of Egyptian families (prepared by: Abdel Aziz el Shakhs, 2013).

Statistical Methods: Wilcoxon test. Mann Whitney test.

The result of the study: The validity of the first hypothesis that there is a statistically significant difference between the average scores of the experimental group of children in the measurements before and after the application of the program on the scale of Non-violent Communication. The validity of the second hypothesis that there is no statistically significant difference between the average scores of control group scores of children in the measures before and after the program on the scale of Non-violent Communication. The validity of the third hypothesis that there are statistically significant differences between average scores of the children of the experimental group and the control group in the post-measurement on the nonviolent communication scale for children in favor of the experimental group. The validity of the fourth hypothesis that there are no statistically significant differences between average scores of the experimental group of children in the post-measurement and follow-up of the application of the program on the nonviolent communication scale.
