Short description
This is an interactive workshop, held over 2 sessions; a 2.5 hour foundational session Friday 8/16 followed by a full day Saturday 8/17. Participants can expect to attain a comprehensive foundation of the NVC approach to speaking and listening. Some common areas of application of NVC will include:
Empowering inspirational leadership and navigating critical workplace conflict; Cultivating interpersonal trust and a closeness within relationships; and Learning effective parenting communication tools that cultivate trust and closeness.

In these two sessions the focus will be learning or perhaps re-membering our first and most natural form of communication; speaking and listening from the heart, as outlined by the principles of NVC, as originally formulated and outlined by the life work of Marshall Rosenberg.

This includes practical instruction on utilizing language of feelings, needs, and requests to communicate at the heart-to-heart level of connection.

Further this workshop will help participants un-learn some of our cultural language and framework that tends to tragically distort our truest needs, disquising them as communications of judgement, guardedness, and reward/punishment, which blocks our ability to empathize with others or to allow others to generate empathy toward ourselves.
