Anger is information -- let's exploit it, for the good of all

"Anger is information -- let's exploit it."

It took me a while to understand this and to grasp why something like goal-oriented work is virtually nonexistent. In ten years in the energy industry, I’ve witnessed kingdoms, wars, and struggles for survival. This is by no means unimportant—in fact, it’s of great significance to the individual—but there’s hardly any opportunity, let alone the skills or structures, to deal with it or make use of this information. On the contrary: “Emotions have no place here!” But that hardly bothers the emotions.

They’re still there. The less space you give them, the greater their impact. The master’s program in “Consulting” opened the door to process consulting for me, leading me to my passion and another professional skill: shaping collaboration, which begins with each individual—with me, with you—and becomes no less complex as the scope expands. For 15 years, I’ve been deeply involved in consulting—in both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors—as an organizational developer, mediator, supervisor, coach, and academic instructor.

I am, with all my heart, an organizational developer, an engineer, AND an economist; my goal is to ensure that people actually work objectively—while involving people. Not as some corny idea or fig leaf, but as a highly efficient and meaningful approach.
