I believe that when we care for what is alive within us and choose life-serving strategies, connection becomes less about changing one another and more about discovering that we already belong to the same human family." I have been fascinated by what happens between people. Why do two people who both long for connection sometimes end up hurting one another? And what becomes possible when they slow down with enough curiosity to understand themselves and each other? These questions have quietly accompanied me for many years and continue to shape the way I live, learn, and share Nonviolent Communication. One of the greatest gifts Nonviolent Communication has given me is self-empathy. Learning to pause, connect with what is alive in me, care for myself, and look for strategies that truly enrich life has been deeply transformative. It is also one of my greatest learning edges. Every day, I gently remind myself to meet myself with the same tenderness I so naturally offer to others. I also try to choose paths that carry a sense of play, joy, and aliveness, trusting that learning and growth do not have to come through struggle alone. Because of this, I don't see Nonviolent Communication primarily as a communication model. For me, it is a way of relating; to myself, to other people, and to life. It is a lifelong practice of returning to presence, curiosity and choice. I facilitate Nonviolent Communication trainings in schools, organizations, companies, and non-profit organizations. I also accompany people through mediation, supporting them in creating enough connection to better understand themselves and one another, so that together they can discover strategies that care for everyone's needs. Whether I am working with a group or sitting with two people in conflict, my intention is always the same: to create a space where people can slow down, reconnect with themselves, and explore what is truly alive beneath their words. I love witnessing the moment when people discover that self-care and care for others do not have to compete, but can support one another. From that place, new possibilities often emerge; possibilities that could not be seen while everyone was trying to protect themselves. I am grateful to be part of the Platform for Holistic Development and Nonviolent Communication LINK, a community that continually nourishes my learning, practice, and growth. Walking this path with others reminds me that Nonviolent Communication is not something we achieve or master. It is something we continue to practise, relationship by relationship, day by day. I believe that every conversation has the potential to strengthen a relationship, and every relationship has the potential to strengthen a community. My hope is to contribute, one conversation at a time, to a kinder and more connected world. > “My mission is to share Nonviolent Communication as a way of living with ourselves and with others.
