[ READ IN TRAINER'S PRIMARY LANGUAGE ](#in-primary-language) Nonviolent Communication (NVC) came to my life as the peak of a long spiritual journey that I had been on for the last few decades, involving Christian, Buddhist, and yoga practice and studies. All of these relate around key concepts, such as love, compassion, and mindfulness. NVC allows me to take firmer steps on the path I have always sought to follow, which is to experience a deep spirituality and empathetic connection with others. As a trainer, my focus is on creating conditions for each individual to wake up to their violent habits, both in their mentality and behavior, realizing the tragic consequences of this conditioning for their relationship with themselves and their relationships with other people. In addition, I also focus on changing mindset, on understanding the purpose of NVC to connect, and on experiencing the notion of interdependence. These two focuses reflect my own process of learning and experiencing NVC: not as a mere tool or way of communicating, but rather as an invitation to a profound change in worldview and, consequently, in behavior. I see myself as someone who helps people access this mentality and nurture it. As I am also in academia and a researcher in linguistics, I am also interested in conducting scientific studies that allow me to better understand the dynamics of communication and the pragmatic aspects involved in the model and processes of NVC, seeking to understand both the process by which individuals learn alienating language habits and how intercultural differences affect the way in which NVC could be adapted to different cultures and languages. # Trainer's primary language A CNV surgiu na minha vida como o ápice de uma longa jornada espiritual que percorri nas últimas décadas, envolvendo práticas e estudos cristãos, budistas e de yoga. Todos eles se relacionam em torno de conceitos-chave, como amor, compaixão e atenção plena. A CNV me permite dar passos mais firmes no caminho que sempre busquei seguir, que é vivenciar uma espiritualidade profunda e uma conexão empática com os outros. Como instrutor, meu foco é criar condições para que cada indivíduo desperte para seus hábitos violentos, tanto em sua mentalidade quanto em seu comportamento, percebendo as consequências trágicas desse condicionamento para seu relacionamento consigo mesmo e com outras pessoas. Além disso, também me concentro na mudança de mentalidade, na compreensão do propósito da CNV de conectar e na vivência da noção de interdependência. Esses dois focos refletem meu próprio processo de aprendizado e vivência da CNV: não como uma mera ferramenta ou forma de comunicação, mas sim como um convite a uma profunda mudança de visão de mundo e, consequentemente, de comportamento. Me vejo como alguém que ajuda as pessoas a acessar essa mentalidade e a nutri-la.
