Being bilingual, I proceeded to read it in English as well. My initial reason for reading the book was that I was searching for a solution to improve my relationship with a family member, what I discovered along the way, was that every single one of my relationships has shifted, and this without the others knowing what NVC is! The relationship that has benefited the most is the one with me, myself and I. I have found a level of internal peace, I didn't know existed! I have found a way home to myself, my heart, what matters, and happiness. I was hooked! She started learning NVC through Peace building trainings organized by United States Institute of Peace in Nigeria through Tarek Maassarani. She is deeply interested and rooted in promoting Conflict transformation as a whole, specifically Peace building through facilitating community dialogues and mediating conflict between individuals, groups, and communities. She is a graduate of Benue State University, Nigeria in Psychology. She is also currently in her second year in a diploma programme specialising in social works which will offer her more opportunities to be able to interface with agencies that work directly with women, youth, and children. Her work in NVC as well as counselling targets to support mainly women, youths and vulnerable groups towards living more fulfilling lives by creating safe spaces for authentic expression, healing, self-knowledge, and integral development. She is a member of NVC Nigeria network and belongs to a Faith based organisation, an international congregation with members working in 14 countries of the world. She is a teacher by Profession and is passionate about integrating, living NVC consciousness, and cultivating deeply connective relationships with people. My journey began when I was 18 years old and experienced the power of NVC for myself. My father gave me the book "A Language of Life" by Dr. Marshall Rosenberg. After reading the first 20 pages, I knew I had found something I wanted to do for the rest of my life. Nonviolent Communication has not only helped me to better understand my own needs and feelings, but also those of the people around me. Since then it has influenced my behaviour and my relationships with family, friends and coworkers to a degree that got me motivated to start the path to become a trainer. My main motivation is to bring social change through NVC specially to the ones who’d have less chances to come across it, being financial blocks, culture and other aspects. Recently I've been working as one of the coordinating members in an international team of certified trainers and NVC enthusiasts in order to build a school in Kenya that will work based on NVC and will be a refuge for children victims of physical punishment in schools, as well as morally and sexually abused children. He had practices in Los Angeles, California and, beginning in 1993, Sedona, Arizona. In 1995, Tosha was trained as a Mediator by the Arizona Attorney General’s office and provided mediation services for Coconino County Superior Courts, Yavapai County Juvenile Courts and the US Postal Service. In 1996 he was introduced to NVC (NonViolent Communication) and began incorporating NVC consciousness into his mediation work, his healing work and his personal life. ​ Tosha has offered Intros, Workshops and Practice Groups in NonViolent Communication.
