From 2015 to 2023, he also served as a CNVC Assessor, accompanying certification candidates on their path toward embodying Nonviolent Communication with confidence, authenticity, and integrity. Meeting Marshall Rosenberg in 2004 profoundly shaped both his personal life and professional path. Since then, Nonviolent Communication has become much more than a communication model for him—it is a way of living and relating. His work is grounded in the belief that every human being flourishes when they experience four essential qualities of life: I am welcome. I have a place. I am held. I am alive. These four life themes have become the heart of his teaching and accompany participants in discovering deeper connection with themselves and others. Frank is particularly passionate about exploring NVC beyond words. His trainings invite people to cultivate empathic presence, intuition, body awareness, and authentic connection, recognizing that transformation often happens in the spaces where language reaches its limits. Another central focus of his work is education. He is the founder of Giraffe Dream (Giraffentraum®), one of the world’s most widely implemented social change projects for bringing Nonviolent Communication into kindergartens and primary schools. More than 500 educators have been trained as multipliers, and the program has been translated into several languages and is currently used in many countries, supporting children, families, and educational communities in building cultures of empathy and cooperation. Over the past two decades, Frank has facilitated trainings throughout Europe, the United States, and India, and regularly contributes to International Intensive Trainings (IITs) and certification programs. Participants appreciate his combination of warmth, clarity, humor, depth, and practical experience, creating learning spaces where people feel safe to grow while being gently challenged to embody NVC in everyday life. Frank lives with his wife, Gundi, near Munich, Germany. Together they are the authors of the book “I Want to Understand What You Really Need – Nonviolent Communication with Children”. Von 2015 bis 2023 war er zudem CNVC-Assessor und begleitete Menschen auf ihrem Zertifizierungsweg dabei, Gewaltfreie Kommunikation mit Selbstvertrauen, Authentizität und Integrität zu verkörpern. Die Begegnung mit Marshall Rosenberg im Jahr 2004 prägte sowohl sein persönliches Leben als auch seinen beruflichen Weg nachhaltig. Seitdem ist Gewaltfreie Kommunikation für ihn weit mehr als ein Kommunikationsmodell – sie ist eine Lebenshaltung. Seine Arbeit basiert auf der Überzeugung, dass Menschen dann aufblühen, wenn sie vier grundlegende Lebenserfahrungen machen: Ich bin willkommen. Ich habe einen Platz. Ich werde gehalten. Ich bin lebendig. Diese vier Lebensthemen bilden das Herzstück seiner Seminare und begleiten Menschen dabei, eine tiefere Verbindung zu sich selbst und anderen zu entwickeln. Ein besonderer Schwerpunkt seiner Arbeit liegt darin, Gewaltfreie Kommunikation über Worte hinaus erfahrbar zu machen. In seinen Trainings lädt er Menschen dazu ein, empathische Präsenz, Intuition, Körperbewusstsein und authentische Verbindung zu entwickeln – im Vertrauen darauf, dass tiefgreifende Veränderung oft dort geschieht, wo Sprache an ihre Grenzen stößt. Ein weiterer Schwerpunkt ist die Bildungsarbeit. Frank ist Gründer von Giraffentraum®, einem der weltweit am weitesten verbreiteten Social-Change-Projekte zur Einführung der Gewaltfreien Kommunikation in Kindergärten und Grundschulen. Mehr als 500 Multiplikator:innen wurden bereits ausgebildet. Das Projekt wurde in zahlreiche Sprachen übersetzt und wird heute in vielen Ländern eingesetzt, um Kinder, Familien und Bildungseinrichtungen beim Aufbau einer Kultur von Empathie, Kooperation und gegenseitigem Verständnis zu unterstützen. In den vergangenen zwei Jahrzehnten leitete Frank Seminare in vielen europäischen Ländern sowie in den USA und Indien. Er ist regelmäßig Trainer bei International Intensive Trainings (IITs) und Programmen im Rahmen der CNVC-Zertifizierung. Teilnehmende schätzen besonders seine Verbindung aus Herzlichkeit, Klarheit, Humor, Tiefe und langjähriger Praxiserfahrung. So entstehen Lernräume, in denen Menschen sich sicher fühlen, wachsen können und gleichzeitig eingeladen werden, Gewaltfreie Kommunikation im Alltag lebendig werden zu lassen. Frank lebt mit seiner Frau Gundi in der Nähe von München. Gemeinsam sind sie Autor:innen des Buches „Ich will verstehen, was du wirklich brauchst – Gewaltfreie Kommunikation mit Kindern“.
