Growing up in a lot of adversity, I set out to find ways to overcome my past and make the most of my life. I am now passionate about sharing with others the tools and approaches that I have used to transform my own life, both personally and professionally. I offer [courses](https://compassionlounge.com/events/), [workshops and coaching](https://compassionlounge.com/offerings/) in *Nonviolent* or *Compassionate Communication (NVC)* and *Gift Discovery and Use*. I love supporting others to find their own answers and individual paths forward. I see a person’s Core Gift as being like their unique melody that they are singing into the world and Compassionate Communication as a way of supporting people to come into harmony with each other. I see trust as the foundation of any good relationship. Whether in the workplace or at home, a sense of common humanity and clear communication that aims to create connection is vital for cultivating healthy relationships. Through my unique blend of NVC and Gift Discovery, I support people to get clear about where they disconnect in themselves and from others. I then help them to transform their judgments and communicate clearly and effectively in empowering and collaborative ways. My work encompasses over thirty-five years of intense personal growth, as well as over thirty years of teaching people from a diverse range of backgrounds, ages, and cultures. I have worked in a broad range of settings in the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors. I love exploring different approaches and modalities, then distilling them down and integrating them into clear frameworks and processes that are easy to follow and apply. It takes at least five years of intensive practice and commitment through a rigorous certification process to become a certified trainer in Nonviolent Communication. This involves demonstrating a clear change of consciousness and more evolved way of being in the world, as well as the ability to effectively share this work with others. In 2023, I have been involved in studying and teaching this work for over ten years and achieved certification in 2019. In recent years, I have also been deeply involved in Gift Discovery training with the [Core Gift Institute](https://www.coregift.org/home). As a certified Master Facilitator in the Core Gift Discovery Process as well as an Advanced Practitioner and Trainer, I enable people to clearly express in their own words what their unique purposeful path is in life. I am a certified trainer of this process and part of an Australian alliance dedicated to sharing this transformational work in the southern hemisphere. Helping leaders, teams and organisations understand and develop their gifts is also a core part of my work. My Core Gift is *inspiring people to be courageously themselves*.
