Living NVC as a Path of Connection and Choice

"For me, Nonviolent Communication is a practice of remembering our shared humanity. When we reconnect with our feelings and needs, we naturally move toward compassion, responsibility, and peace—within ourselves and in the world."

I see myself as a CNVC-Certified Trainer who shares Nonviolent Communication (NVC) as a consciousness of connection, responsibility, and compassion. My work is grounded in lived experience and a deep commitment to self-empathy as the foundation for social change. My journey with NVC began in 2020 and has since become an integral part of how I live, parent, and work. I believe I bring a steady, embodied presence to my teaching, inviting people to reconnect with what is alive in them. My approach emphasizes clarity, inner safety, and the transformative power of naming feelings and needs.

Professionally, I work as an organizational adviser/teamcoach at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Netherlands, after transitioning from a career as a lawyer. In organizational and governmental contexts, I support individuals and teams in navigating conflict, power dynamics, and pressure with greater awareness, dialogue, and humanity. I see workplaces as powerful arenas for cultural change when empathy and conscious communication are practiced.

Alongside my organizational work, I am deeply committed to community-based and intergenerational change. I have offered NVC workshops in primary schools, worked with parents, and provided one-on-one coaching to women in community settings. As a mother of three, I'm especially passionate about introducing children and young people to emotional literacy and self-expression rooted in needs awareness.

I offer NVC trainings, workshops, and individual sessions in Dutch and English. I also speak Arabic. My intention is to support people in reconnecting with themselves and others—so that more peace, choice, and compassion can emerge in everyday life.

> “My mission is to support individuals, and organizations in cultivating connection through Nonviolent Communication. I offer trainings, workshops, and individual sessions that invite clarity, self-empathy, and dialogue—especially in spaces where stress, conflict, or cultural differences create distance.”
