As an assistant dean at UCLA in the early 1970s, I co-created and taught the Women’s Studies program there. Since 1976, I have conducted trainings in a variety of self-development areas. A graduate of Bryn Mawr College, Yale University, and Pacifica Graduate Institute, I have master’s degrees in both psychology, and Russian and East European Studies. I have operated a private consulting practice for more than twenty-five years. A founder of the NVC Training Institute, I have led NVC trainings in the U.S., Canada, Europe, and South Korea and have been a regular trainer for Center for Nonviolent Communication (CNVC) International Intensive Trainings. I have also worked with General Motors and the government of British Colombia, amongst others. From 2001 to 2009, I served as the CNVC registration coordinator for certification candidates in North and South America. In 2020, Susan created the groundbreaking New Depths Intensive Program.
