Because of my fascination with the unknown and 'other worlds', I have worked in Ivory Coast, Romania, Kenya, England, Uganda and the Netherlands over the past 25 years. The common thread in my work is strengthening individuals in order to contribute to the bigger picture (organization/family/social system).

The foundation for this was laid when I was active at the Kindertelefoon during my studies in Biomedical Sciences and Social Work. There I discovered what I find important: to create clarity through listening, so that someone can take action based on their own inspirations and wisdom.

In 2007, I followed an introductory training in Nonviolent Communication. Marshall Rosenberg's ideas touched me deeply because of the depth of listening I experienced and the opportunities I saw to understand each other. From this enthusiasm I started my company Flux – Changing Communication in Uganda. My training focuses on the possibilities we have to change our communication, both with others and with ourselves, and you will experience what this sets in motion.

I have been a member of the Ai-opener training platform since 2014. In addition to introductory training, I also teach the Nonviolent Communication: The Journey course twice a year. I also provide tailor-made programs within organizations and provide 1-on-1 guidance. At CNVC I am certified both as a trainer (Jan 2015) and as an assessor (Feb 2023) in Nonviolent Communication.
