Kia ora kotou,

I live in Ōtaki in the North Island of Aotearoa New Zealand. I have been sharing NVC for 17 years, and was certified in 2010. I want to acknowledge Robert Gonzales. His body of work, and teachings, inspired me to explore life with more joy and authenticity.

I originally trained as a dancer, choreographer and performing arts teacher, and have experience across the arts sector (education/film industry) – so naturally creativity underpins all of my work. I delight in collaborations, exploring new and relevant ways to bring NVC into the world, and love when learning is fun!

Due to my interest in the body and somatic therapy, I have developed a body-based approach to NVC and co-created Inner Nature Cards to support this work. I offer online courses, retreats and seminars that focus on full-bodied integration of NVC, supporting sustainable change in relationships, and grounded in experiential enquiry.

I am a co-facilitator at Renew, alongside my husband Rob - we offer individual and couple retreats, mediation and individual sessions. I am a Trustee of the Aotearoa New Zealand NVC Charitable Trust, provide mentoring for new trainers internationally and am the initiating trainer for the Aotearoa NZ IIT. Locally, I work with teenagers to stay connected with life (anxiety, depression, self-harm, conflict), women/mothers who are ‘burnt out’, and in the areas of addiction and trauma.

In my ‘downtime’ I love to hike, learn te reo Māori (the indigenous language here), photography, sing, spend time with my family and swim in the local Ōtaki river.

I am committed to living NVC, thriving, and supporting others to do the same. Contact me if you would enjoy a training for your community – online or face to face. I love to travel!

Ngā mihi nui, Anna
