If you would like to join us for the 9-day Nonviolent Communication intensive training in India, we will do our best to support you to participate at this IIT. The cost of this training has two components: 1) Tuition; and 2) Accommodation (room and board) at the Asia Plateau Centre.
We want to enable as many people as possible to participate in an IIT, regardless of their financial position. At the same time, we care that the cost of organizing the event is covered, CNVC (as a sponsor for this training) is sustainably funded, and that trainers and organizers can be adequately remunerated. Holding care for all these elements, the tuition fees have been set as follows:
- $2,175 - Early Bird (make your payment through 14-Oct-2024) - convert to another currency
- $2,495 - Standard (15-Oct-2024 and after) - convert to another currency

Pay in Euros!
We offer the option of paying in Euros by bank transfer - this option usually ensures a better deal for participants who have a bank account in this currency, because they won't lose money on the exchange rate.
You can send us a bank transfer after converting the amount you need to pay from USD to EUR here.
Remember, the payment has two components:
- tuition
- room and board fees
If you need help, or if you qualify for a discount, please contact us first.
Important! Make sure you include your name and "IIT India 2025" in the description of the payment -- this is the only way that we will know that the money is from you and for what purpose.
Cancellation and refund policy
A. If we cancel:
If we cancel this training, you receive a 100% refund (or if you prefer, you can apply your payment to another CNVC intensive training within 2 years).
B. If you cancel:
Through 6-Jan-2025, you have two options:
- Transfer 100% of your payment to a future CNVC intensive training within 2 years; or
- Receive a refund minus a nonrefundable 10% tuition deposit
Between 7-Jan-2025 and 2-Feb-2025 you have two options:
- Transfer 75% of your payment to a future CNVC training (we retain 25%); or
- Receive a 50% refund (we retain 50%).
Beginning 3-Feb-2025 no refunds or transfers are available.
You will notice that the closer to the start date, the lower your refund. This is to acknowledge the financial commitments that CNVC makes in the planning process. E.g. We are often required to pay for a venue, whether or not you show up. We also put considerable human resources into the organization of an IIT and some of these costs are not recoverable.
Since last minute cancellations are mostly because of an injury or a health issue, we recommend that participants take their own insurance to cover these cases.
Refunds will be issued within 10 business days after you cancel.
Regarding Cancellation and Refund policy of room & board, please contact the local organizers.
Room and Board
After you pay your tuition on this page, we will reach out to you and provide instructions for how to reserve your accommodation (including choosing your room type) with the venue.
Room options and prices are listed here.
Affordability and Access
Our hope is that by offering the discounts described above, most people will have the ability to pay the tuition fee, which allows us to compensate our organizers and trainers, and enables our organization to continue to offer more trainings like this in the future.
However, we realize that life situations make it difficult for some people to gather enough money to pay our requested fees, even after applying the available discounts. If this is the case for you, we strongly encourage you to to request financial assistance below, and we will do our best to support you to participate.
Since money can be a loaded topic in our world, for many people, even asking for financial support is uncomfortable. If you are inspired to participate, we invite you to join us in a mutual process to explore possibilities. We are committed to stretching as far as we can, in order to support as many people as possible to attend this training.
Note: Financial assistance applies to the tuition fee only.
Do I Qualify for Financial Assistance?
We have a limited amount of financial assistance available and we prioritize people who meet one or more of the following criteria:
- Actively collaborating with others in the NVC network.
- Can use what they learn in this training to make an impact such as in education, government, environmental sustainability, equity and inclusion, or with an NGO or community-based organization.
- From a region that has fewer in-person NVC trainings.
- Part of an economic system that offers less access to financial resources.
- Come from a disadvantaged group (race, ethnicity, origin, religion, gender identity, class).
- Willing to search for other sources of financial support such as a workplace, family, or organization that you are involved in (in order to be in partnership with us about finding the resources to host this training while including as many people as possible).
