## Ever got stuck in empathy?

If you've practiced and integrated Nonviolent Communication (NVC), you have probably felt and witnessed the transformative power of empathy.

You feel seen, your shoulders soften, and you notice the nuances of your feelings and the needs driving them. The same when you support someone who is upset. You know that identifying their needs changes the perspective.

And yet...

Have you ever found yourself supporting someone who could easily identify their feelings and needs, had received plenty of empathy, understood their situation perfectly well... and still seemed stuck?

Perhaps you've wondered:

- When is empathy enough?
- Is my empathy good enough?
- What would a more skilled practitioner do in my place?

In this free 60-minute session, we'll explore a question that many NVC practitioners, including trainers, encounter:

If empathy doesn't change anything - what then?

During the session, Pernille Plantener will explore the differences between empathic support as we know it from NVC, and coaching-informed support rooted in NVC consciousness. She will demonstrate a live process with a volunteer, and invite reflection on what coaching can add to NVC practice.

The session includes:

- A short presentation
- Live demonstration
- Reflection and debrief
- Introduction to the November workshop: Beyond Empathic Listening - What Coaching Can Add to NVC Practice.

Whether you're an NVC trainer, practitioner, facilitator, mediator, or coach with an NVC background, you're warmly welcome.

In this taster session, there will not be a basic walk-through of Nonviolent Communication; if that's what you wish, please look for other offerings on this page, including **Beyond Right and Wrong**, which is a series of five 3-hour sessions on Tuesdays starting 20th April.
