**Foundation Course with Heart in Communication**

This interactive foundation course consists of eight sessions of three hours each. Each session will introduce new skills and give you plenty of practice in a supportive and engaging setting. Between sessions, you’ll have the opportunity to deepen your learning by connecting with fellow participants to practice the skills you’ve learned. You’ll also receive suggested reading and at-home exercises to help you apply what you’re learning in your daily life.

**What You’ll Learn:**

Recognize and move beyond judgments – Learn to notice judgments and discover the needs behind them.
Separate facts from opinions – Develop the ability to distinguish between what happened and your thoughts about it.
Identify and express feelings – connect with and express feelings.
Shift from strategies to needs – Get to the root of what’s driving your choices and actions.
Make clear requests – Learn how to ask for what you need.
Listen with empathy – Discover how to hear and understand others without needing to fix or advise.
Connect with yourself and express honestly – Tune into your own experience and speak from the heart without blame or criticism.
Engage in meaningful dialogue – Develop the confidence to handle challenging conversations with openness and understanding.
Express gratitude and appreciation – Strengthen your relationships by sharing appreciation in a way that feels authentic.

**What You’ll Gain**

By the end of the course, you’ll have practical tools to express yourself honestly, listen with empathy, and stay connected even in difficult conversations. You’ll learn how to communicate in a way that fosters greater understanding, connection, and mutual respect — bringing more clarity and compassion into your life.
