Becoming What You Need: Practices for Embodying Nonviolent Communication

Living life fully begins with knowing deeply what you care about.  This is where we’ll begin. Together we will build a foundation for embodying Nonviolent Communication and practices that produce lasting change over the long term. To live more fully in relationships, we must live more fully in our bodies. Coming home to our bodies puts us in touch with our emotions, and our emotions—when consciously listened to—tell us what we care about, what we need, and the present, direct, immediate experience of the life we are living. This is where we come face to face with the history we’ve embodied, our deeper selves, our greatest gifts, and the motivation to stay the course of developing new, more skillful, inclusive responses to life's challenges.

Combining NVC and somatic techniques increases your capacity to organize yourself physically, emotionally, and linguistically. It offers daily and lifetime practices for attuning to your body's signals and the present, direct, and immediate experience of the life you're living. It brings you face to face with the history you've embodied, your deeper self, your greatest gifts, and the motivation to live more compassionately in the world. Along the way, you'll be aligning your words and actions with everything you most deeply care about, and have some good fun!

David Weinstock's somatic approach to Nonviolent Communication (NVC) guides us toward a profound connection with our bodies, emotions, and lived experiences. By consciously engaging with these aspects, we open avenues for healing, personal transformation, informed choices, and a profound sense of empowerment through heartfelt living.

Whether you're a newcomer to NVC or an advanced practitioner,
