Overview: This is a summary of the process for the May 2022 Board Election
Dear CNVC Members,
Please help us fill five (5) open seats on the CNVC Board of Directors!
In order to honor the wisdom of the CNVC Members (Certified Trainers, permanent staff, and Board Members), we invite you to nominate up to 3 people to serve on the Board.
Our Request: Enter up to 3 names of people who you want to nominate for the Board on or before 28-April-2021. You may nominate yourself or anyone else to serve on the Board. CNVC Members will vote for new Board members.
Before making your nominations, please read the Board Members Expectations. To nominate people, please fill out the Nomination Form. Here is the timeline and process:
Tue, 19-Apr-2022: Nomination: Each Member can nominate up to 3 people to serve on the CNVC Board. The Nomination Form is open for 8 days.
Thu, 28-Apr-2022: Nominations close at 12 Midnight New York time (convert to your time zone).
Sat, 30-Apr-2022: The list of people who were nominated will be shared with the Members. The Board will contact each person who was nominated and ask them if they are willing to serve on the Board. If their answer is ‘yes’, they will write an introduction of themselves.
Mon, 16-May-2022: Candidates introduced to Members with their self-introductions.
Tue, 24-May-2022: Annual Meeting -- all Members are welcome as we share updates on our financial health, progress with developing governance, programs, and kick off the Board Election.
Wed, 25-May-2022: Voting Begins: The election survey will be sent to all Members of CNVC including all introduction texts. Each member can express their level of support for each candidate with comments of 40 words to each candidate if they choose to. The Election survey will be open for 7 days. The scale of support is: -3 (Strong resistance) -2, -1, 0 (Neutral), +1, +2, +3 (Strong support)
Wed, 01-Jun-2022: The Election Survey closes.
Mon, 06-Jun-2022: The full results of the voting will be shared, including the level of support each candidate received from the Members, and all comments that Members wrote to the candidates.
The new Board will be composed of 7 members: 5 new members and 2 from the existing Board.
The term of the new board members will begin in mid-June 2022 and will be for 3 years. The Board will, in consultation with the community, focus on continuing the work on designing and implementing the shared-governance model which will support the ever growing network to achieve our vision of spreading NVC to the critical mass of people on this beautiful planet.
