Authentic Conversations: Practicing the Process

Do you feel you aren’t being heard? Do you find yourself responding to tense conversations with habitual responses? Do you wish you could initiate a difficult conversation and get satisfying results? This group class will help you navigate the tricky and frustrating conversations that can play like a tape loop in your life. Learn the very helpful tools of Compassionate Communication (also known as Nonviolent Communication) to work on better dialogs in an era of anger and sound bites. This communications method and philosophy is used all over the world to help bring peace to homes and workplaces. In each class we will learn about an aspect of Nonviolent Communication as conceived by Marshall B. Rosenberg, PhD (psychology). This course will be quite engaging. Participants will be led through the core ideas of Compassionate Communication with a lot of time to practice the process.
