#  First Generation NVCers

We invite you to hear from the [First Generation NVCers](https://sites.google.com/view/firstgennvcers/), a group of people who worked closely with our organization’s founder, [Marshall Rosenberg](https://www.cnvc.org/about/cnvc/marshall), before 1990 and who were among the first people certified as trainers with CNVC.

The group’s goal is to transmit [Nonviolent Communication](https://www.cnvc.org/training/resource/book-chapter-1) as they received it from Marshall, and their website includes interviews about their experiences with Marshall, stories about how NVC evolved, and many photos about the history of our movement.
