NYCNVC Practice Groups are weekly gatherings (usually 5 to 15 people) where you can develop your skills through the use of practice exercises, role-plays and the sharing of your struggles and successes with others.

Nonviolent Communication (NVC) is often readily understood, yet can be challenging to put into practice. To help you bring NVC into your daily life The New York Center for Nonviolent Communication (NYCNVC) offers NVC Practice Groups in North America and Europe.

PLEASE NOTE: We ask that all registrants participate in at least 80% of the sessions (i.e. 8 out of 10) to support continuity, learning, participation and progress of the whole group.

Taisha Cortes
Taisha Cortes first began learning and practicing Nonviolent Communication in 2011, just as she was about to be laid off from work. The practice made such an impact on her life that she dedicated her time off from working to pursue sharing, learning and integrating NVC.
Taisha has completed 400 hours of training, has completed the NYCNVC Integration Program, and now supports NYCNVC as an Executive Council member, a Course Coordinator, a Workshop Facilitator and a NYCNVC Certified Practice Group Leader. She continues sharing NVC with others, inspired by the increasing love, peace and happiness she experiences as a result of her practice.
