This evening workshop will present a most powerful interpersonal communication process based on Marshall Rosenberg's work with Nonviolent Communication (NVC). We will overview the principles and steps of NVC, while focussing on one of the deeply enriching practices it suggests, that of expressing gratitude. Though gratitude is but one aspect of NVC, it is a powerful one, one that allows us to remember the fundamentals of why we are choosing to be together. It generates a strong foundation upon which we then can bring up things we don't appreciate. This can then be done in a safer environment, one in which we have basic trust that we matter for one another. We are wanting to make this workshop both deep, meaningful and fun. Being a couple who have based our relationship on NVC principles and practice, we are delighted to present to you this most exciting tool that fosters both respect AND authenticity. Eventually, NVC allows each person to move toward moment-to-moment transparency and an enhanced ability to listen with care and wonder. This introduction may lead to setting up a couples' retreat later on. Is NVC for me? For us? It may be, especially if… While I'd really like in my couple… The trainers Valerie Lanctot-Bedard Valerie is a certified NVC trainer, coach and mediator. She works with people who want more out of life, who want to reach for their full potential and evolve. She recognises that we meet our limitations head on when we are with other people. Facing those challenges and growing from them is the basis of her work with individuals, couples, families, communities and work teams. She has recently begun facilitating group processes around conflict called Restorative Circles. Jean-Philippe (JP) Bouchard JP is an organisational development consultant. He has worked with teams, managers and organisations for most of his career. Introducing NVC into his work has brought it much more depth and meaning, helping people work better together and growing through conflict. Jean-Philippe and Valerie have created their own consulting and training firm. They work in a variety of environments and in all sorts of situations. They tremendously enjoy sharing the depth and promises of NVC, touching people in their places of innermost hope and potential. Harmoni Holistic Health and Transformational Center Registration
