Public Message:
I have many years of experience with coaching and training of individuals and organizations, in both profit and third sector organisations. I have has managed leadership development programmes, mentoring schemes, and coaching programmes
Amongst my certificates of life a list of the most relevant: I am an International Certified NVC Trainer, a certified coach with the International Coach Federation, have an MBA from Webster University, am qualified in Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) step 1 and 2, am certified in Ken Blanchard’s High Performance Team process. Also I am a certified facilitator for the Be The Change organization. And...I am also trained in NLP and as a Reiki practitioner.
In the late eighties that I met my current Zen teacher Ton Lathouwers who was, and still is, leading the MahaKaruna Ch'an organization in The Netherlands. I was very touched and inspired by the the key role that the Bodhisatva Kuan Yin (Kanzeon) plays in Ch'an in which she symbolizes "infinite compassion".
Ton inspired me deeply from the first time we met, a direct heart-to-heart connection, as a person who brings his whole being into the openness of his teaching. In the two decades of our connection I have met with other spiritual teachers such as Ama Sami and Sri Sri Ravi Shankar (Art of Living). In the ashram of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar in Bangalore (India) I have experienced my second heart-to-heart connection, the transmission of compassion at such a deep level that it completely changed my life. Compassion became the core not only of my spiritual practice but also of my daily life and has affected all my decisions since.
Still, how does one express compassion and what language does one use? It was in 2006 that I had my third heart-to-heart connection, this time with Marshall Rosenberg. The Nonviolent Communication (NVC) process developed by Marshall offered me a way to connect compassionately and honestly with myself and others. It was the step from the "meditation cushion" into the "real world". Since 2006, I have trained with many NVC trainers internationally. I am a Certified NVC trainer with the Centre for Nonviolent Communication and lead practice groups and run Introduction, Foundation and Deepening Trainings/Workshops in the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, both public and in organisations.
