INTERNATIONAL INTENSIVE TRAINING
USA - Albuquerque, New Mexico, June 3-12, 2013

Program: This International Intensive Training (IIT) is a 9-day, Nonviolent Communication “immersion experience.” It is a residential workshop led by a team of experienced CNVC certified trainers. The purpose of this IIT training is to offer people the opportunity to live the process of Nonviolent Communication in community over an extended period of time, in order to develop Nonviolent Communication knowledge, skills and consciousness.

Barbara Larson and Doug DolstadLead Trainer - Barbara Larson and Support Trainer Doug Dolstead

Barbara & Doug attended their first IIT twelve years ago and their lives have never been the same.  That first IIT changed my life; I felt a freedom from the prison of judgmental thinking, at choice and alive at the deepest levels, and an increased capacity to contribute to our world, says Barbara. We're delighted to be part of a team offering that experience to others. They've been serving as trainers at IIT's for six years, and bring with them a passion for living the process, sharing their personal journeys and insights, and inviting participants into the power-with spirit of the IIT and life.

They have a particular sweet spot for parents, partners, youth, and families, hosting NVC Family Camp on their Vashon Island farm for seven years. (nvcfamilycamp.org)  Doug and Barbara are founding members of Northwest Compassionate Communication (nwcompass.org) and Barbara served as an assessor with CNVC's trainer certification team. We're looking forward to learning, playing & growing with everyone who gives themselves the gift of this nine-day immersion into compassion for self (first!), other and the world.

Rita HertzogTrainer Rita Herzog:

Rita has been studying and teaching Nonviolent Communication since she met Marshall almost 30 years ago. As an early NVC pioneer, she coordinated the work of CNVC from her dining room table. She has had the privilege, over the years, of seeing NVC enhance people's lives in ever widening circles to five continents and over 40 countries. Rita also served on CNVC's Board of Trustees for nine years, and as president for three.

She has offered NVC training in Mexico, Brazil, Japan, Israel, and many parts of Europe, as well in the U.S. and Canada, focusing on schools, parenting, family relationships, and many areas of social services. She helped write the original document for the certification preparation and assessment process. She continues in the role of CNVC certification coordinator, supporting assessors and trainer candidates to work together in mutually satisfying ways.

Rita serves as an NVC mentor and coach and has recorded trainings for NVC Academy. She co-authored the children's book, "The Mayor of Jackal Heights", which demonstrates the power of NVC empathy. Rita's experiences have taught her that once we fully receive the healing power empathy for ourselves, we cannot stop the natural flow of compassion to others, creating the loving connections we all yearn for.

Alan SeidTrainer: Alan Seid (pronounced "side") has been studying NVC since 1995. After an IIT in 1999, Alan worked as Marshall Rosenberg's Spanish interpreter in South America, and has been a CNVC Certified Trainer since 2003.

Since his teenage years, Alan has been passionate about best practices for creating harmony with the planet, between people, and within ourselves. Alan lives on 25 acres in the foothills of the North Cascades in the Pacific Northwest where he also engages in an ecologic design system called Permaculture Design.

Alan works as a coach, consultant, and seminar leader, focusing on working with people who are committed to making a positive difference.

Alan is also founder of the Blackbelt Communication Skills Coaching Program and Cascadia Workshops, an internet publishing company. Within NVC, Alan's passion lies with how to apply NVC to positive social change.
