Details

While most of us are taught from an early age to be "nice people", this has tragic consequences to our self-esteem: depression, resentment, a loss of meaning, and angry outbursts after we have withheld our truth long enough for the pressure to boil over.

And yet, many of us avoid honest self-expression because our attempts to do so in the past have resulted in stimulating anger or upset in the people closest to us.

Compassionate Communication shows us how to be radically honest with people in a way that generates connection and positive energy in our relationships, rather than alienating them.

In this training session, you will learn the art of initiating difficult conversations, and eventually learning to enjoy them...and how to never give up, or give in, on your needs or core values again.

FRIDAY'S SESSION: (6:30 pm - 9:30 pm)

"Introduction to Compassionate Nonviolent Communication" Everyone is welcome for this primer on NVC, the Language of the Heart. Learn how to create a quality of connection that leads to everyone's needs matter, and being met through joyful giving.

SATURDAY'S SESSION: (9:30 am - 5:30 pm)

"Adventures in Honesty: Living and Communicating Authentically." A day-long session designed as a continuation of Friday evening, focusing on how to communicate with honesty and authenticity in your relationships.

Who is it for

Everyone is welcome at this training -- both beginners and people with prior experience in Compassionate Communication.

Please note: Friday evening's session is a 3-hour introduction to Compassionate Communication, so we ask everyone who is new to NVC (i.e. if you have not attended an in-person training in the past) to definitely attend Friday evening (and also Saturday if you can).

If you have prior NVC in-person training experience, you may attend Saturday only if you wish (although we encourage you to attend Friday night as well -- each training experience is unique!)

Fees

Friday & Saturday: $90-120; Friday: $30-40; Saturday: $80-100. Earlybird & multi-person discounts.
