Time Bank Consciousness
Greetings Dear Ones!
I just joined my local time bank. A simple principle: trading one hour of work for one hour of work. I love the concept, although not sure how it will play out for me....and willing to experiment. Basically, I offer my services (Nonviolent Communication/Mediation) and for each hour, I can receive an hour for massage, graphic art work, computer support, gardening, attorney support-whatever anyone else is offering. Housekeeper or dentist= one hour = one hour.
TIME is the value of exchange! Look for a time bank in your area (it's international)

I'm hoping this will result in the experience of valuing everyone's needs/strategies equally...I'm guessing that I will have more to say about how this works for me and the others that I interact with.
What about trainings where there are 10 people for 4 hours? That would be 40 hours? NO. That would still be my four hours. The other 36 hours can be donated to the nonprofit of my choice. Hmmmm....I'm wondering about that....Each one of those 10 people received 4 hours of my time?????
I'm maybe missing something?
Your compassionate clarity is invited here. I'd love to hear responses from those moved to do so. :-)
Be well, Dear Ones, be Well !
