Program:  This International Intensive Training (IIT) is a 9-day, Nonviolent Communication “immersion experience.” It is a residential workshop led by a team of experienced CNVC certified trainers. The purpose of this IIT training is to offer people the opportunity to live the process of Nonviolent Communication in community over an extended period of time, in order to develop Nonviolent Communication knowledge, skills and consciousness.

프로그램: 국제심화교육(IIT)은 9일 동안 비폭력대화에 “몰입하는 경험”을 하는 것입니다. 경험 있는 CNVC 인증지도자 팀이 진행하는 숙박 교육입니다. IIT의 목적은 일정 기간 동안 공동체에서 NVC로 살아보는 경험을 통해 NVC 지식, 역량, 의식을 개발하도록 돕는 것입니다.

Transitional Lead Trainer:  Katherine Singer Having experienced the Korean War at the age of 5, Katherine has felt a deep commitment towards bringing about a world that is peaceful both within and without; by resolving conflicts in a peaceful manner. In 1970, she immigrated to the United States, and, in 1997, met Marshall. Later, she became a trainer, then served the CNVC as a board member, and now as an assessor. Katherine introduced NVC to South Korea in 2003, subsequently founding the Korean Center for NVC in 2006. Now, aided by 4 full-time staff, 12 [yet to be certified] trainers, and many volunteers, she is now serving all areas of South Korean society. With John Kinyon, Katherine is currently organizing and supporting a team of NVC mediators in hopes of contributing, someday peacefully resolving the conflicts between North and South Korea.

Support Trainer -Christlin Rajendram
I met Marshall and NVC when I was studying in Ohio State University in 1996 through Maria Mankien, a close friend of mine, who was then the secretary at CNVC.  NVC reinforced my studies at the University.  I was involved with Paulo Freire and the Sense-Making studies at the time and NVC just gave it all a new form.  I fell in love with the process.  When I returned to Sri Lanka I invited Marshall to introduce NVC to Sri Lanka and I introduced it to my teaching at the University.  Since then I have met wonderful NVC people and I wished that the whole world be full of people who lived NVC.  I began my journey living NVC with 20 children who had lost their parents in the war in Sri Lanka.  It has been a great journey of learning and I am looking forward to continue the journey learning with this IIT team.

Support Trainer - Gina Lawrie
Gina Lawrie lives in Surrey, UK with her dog. She has been a certified trainer since 1997 and integrated NVC into her practice as a consultant, coach and trainer in both personal and organisational development.  Together with Bridget Belgrave, she co-created the NVC Dance Floors, an innovative approach to sharing and practicing many aspects of NVC. These materials have now been translated into 7 languages and are used around the NVC world. Gina has worked internationally, introducing NVC to Australia, Singapore and New Zealand. She is an experienced assessor for certification with CNVC and an associate trainer with the NVC Training Institute adding the NVC Dance Floor experience to the Living Energy of Needs training.

Support Trainer -Marianne Göthlin
Marianne Göthlin lives in Sweden, has been practicing and integrating NVC for 20 years and was certified as CNVC trainer 1998.The last 10 years Marianne has shared NVC internationally, has worked together with many trainers and has served as a trainer on IITs together with Marshall Rosenberg. Since 1990 she has worked in education, with teachers, parents and young people using the process of Nonviolent Communication to foster compassionate relations in learning environments. In 1998 she co-founded a school based on NVC values and principles outside Stockholm. She has been a partner in a European Union project that brings Peace Education into kindergartens. In 2009 she participated in initiating “NVC in Education Europe” a program with the intention of supporting the development of Nonviolent Education in European school systems. Marianne is appreciated for embodying the subtle power of empathic presence where there is a space for everyone to be. www.skolande.se

The Manhae-maeul/conference house is located in a national park, Seorak san near the city of Sokcho in Gangwon province in eastern South Korea.

만해마을은강원도설악산국립공원내설악지역에있습니다.

Travel: The nearest international airport is Inchon, about 3 hours 30 minutes driving distance from the venue. To travel from the Inchon International Airport to the venue by bus, take a limousine bus (#6705 bound for Jamsil) and get off at Dong-Seoul Bus Terminal. From there take an intercity bus bound for Baekdam-sa Temple. Get off at Baekdam-sa and walk 15 minutes to the venue. It is 2 hours 10 minutes from Dong-Seoul Bus Terminal to the venue.

교통: 인천국제공항에서 만해마을까지는 차로 3시간 30분 정도 걸립니다. 인천국제공항에서 공항리무진을 타고 동서울버스터미널에서 하차한 후 백담사입구 행 버스를 타십시오. 백담사 입구에서 내려 만해마을까지 걸어서 15분 정도 걸립니다. 동서울버스터미널에서 만해마을까지는 2시간 10분 정도 걸립니다.

Fee: Total IIT fees consist of a tuition fee (payable in US Dollars to CNVC) and an accommodation fee (payable in Korean Won to the organizer at the venue or transfer the fund electronically) - as outlined in the table below. No part of the fees is negotiable

Early Bird Discount: Receive a $210 discount on tuition (10% off tuition) on payments received in full by May 21, 2012 (2 months prior to the start of the IIT). Tuition Fee Payable to CNVC under this option is $1,890.

How to register

1) Fill out the IIT Application Form *, and send it with tuition payment in US Dollars only to:

2) Applications sent before June 21, 2012 need to include full or partial payment, with a minimum of $100. The balance is due on June 21, 2012.  For applications sent on, or after June 21, 2012 please include full tuition fees.
3) CNVC usually acknowledges your application within 5 business days; please contact the IIT department if you do not receive an acknowledgement within this time.
4) Once you are enrolled, the organizer will provide you with details about the accommodations according to your needs. Payment regarding the accommodation will be made directly to the organizer at the venue or transfer the fund electronically to the Korean NVC Center.

3. 등록 확정 안내를 받으신 후, IIT 참가비 (교육비와 숙식비)를 지불하십시오. 참가비중 교육비는 CNVC에 달러로 지불하고, 숙식비는 한국NVC센터에 원화로 입금하십시오.
