Peace, not just the cessation of violence, but a true fulfillment of our collective dream, is possible in our lifetimes. We gratefully welcome your support.

“If there is an answer to the enormous problems before us, it is to seek the solutions that will meet the needs of all concerned. This is not utopian idealism. I have seen such solutions created—over and over again around the world.”
—Marshall B. Rosenberg, Ph.D.

Donate to a Project:

The following geographic and theme programs and projects support our mission in specific areas. Once our preset funding goal (listed after the project title) has been met for one of these projects or programs, the list will be adjusted.

Asia Project: Goal $25,000

Objective: To spread Nonviolent Communication (NVC) in Asia so that people, guided by its principles, may live their lives peacefully and work for social development.

To read more about this project, visit the Asia Project status page.

Eastern Europe Project: Goal $25,000

Objective: To train teams of local citizens in Eastern European countries to make NVC training available within their countries and to live and work in harmony with the mission and vision of CNVC. Funding to be used to cover travel costs and training fees for project coordinator Eva Rambala to travel to the eleven countries (Bosnia & Herzegovina, Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Hungary, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Serbia & Montenegro, Turkey, and Ukraine) where networks are being formed to practice and spread NVC. Also, Russia is a high priority country where Eva will be working to build a network.

The Freedom Project:

Objective: To empower prisoners and "returnees" (to the community) with the freedom of inner peace through trainings in Nonviolent Communication (NVC) and mindfulness practice. This freedom enables us to live in harmony and integrity with ourselves and each other, and to realize the unique contribution we each make to the community which awaits our gifts.

The Lusophone Project (Portuguese language): Goal $35,000

Objective: To support skills and social structures that protect and honor Life, by giving shanty town youth, police and Justice system workers, teachers and students access to viable alternatives to violence, through community based NVC sharing. Funding supports investment in new projects, materials and stipends for training.

S&E Asia/Oceania Governance: Goal $50,000

Objective: To support advocates for NVC living and working in South & East Asia/Oceania in establishing infrastructure to sustain trainers and supporters wanting to offer training and/or initiate NVC-related projects. Funding will be used to cover travel costs and training for advocates wishing to develop skills that allow them to participate in their own governance and/or negotiate with both Government and Non-Government funding entities in our area. Where it appears likely that doing so might serve to support our needs, funds may also be used to ‘purchase’ services from CNVC – e.g. training by Marshall and/or promotional materials.

Restorative Justice Project: Goal $50,000

The CNVC Restorative Justice Project aims to support dialogue and mutual learning between the NVC and Restorative Justice (RJ) communities, in the service of developing compassionate justice systems and effective means for increasing community safety. Over the last 4 years the practical application of NVC to restorative practices has been presented to many in the Restorative Justice community for the first time. A specific approach to conferencing - in which those normally considered victims, offenders and members of the community come together in the wake of crime or disagreement - has been developed and widely applied in the court, education, prison and social services community in Brazil. Called Restorative Circles, this work - developed by Dominic Barter, and guided by NVC - is now being shared and applied internationally.
