The GCC and Trainer Fee Agreement

The Global Community Circle is seeking to support development of an agreement between certified trainers and CNVC Governance that gives certified trainers a voice in how a portion of our trainer fees are used to support achievement of the CNVC vision, mission and aim.

We are hopeful that this initiative will result in a greater sense of connection between certified trainers and CNVC Governance, and increased effectiveness in our collectively moving toward realization of the visions that we share.

As a first step in this process, we have developed a draft proposal based on our understanding of the needs alive in both certified trainers and CNVC Governance. A key element in this proposal is the concept of Regional Centers.

As a next step in coming up with a proposal that will work for everyone, GCC members will be sharing this initial draft proposal with groups in their areas that they believe may meet the criteria for Regional Centers, to get their feedback to help adjust the proposal to be more needs-meeting. The GCC has a touch-base meeting scheduled for Nov 11 to review feedback provided to that point. Further input may be collected after this date as part of this "first round".

After the first round of feedback has been received, reviewed and integrated into a refined proposal, the refined proposal will be shared with all certified trainers through this egroup to obtain your input / feedback.

Once we have a proposal that seems acceptable to the certified trainer network, this will be shared with the Admin Team (as the collective "Executive Director" responsible for CNVC Governance operations), for the purpose of reaching a mutually satisfactory agreement between certified trainers and CNVC Governance. (Note: preliminary discussions have taken place to confirm that the Admin Team is willing for trainers to have a voice in the allocation of a portion of their trainer fees.)

Our dream is that such an agreement could be reached so that certified trainers would have a voice in how a portion of their 2008/2009 renewal fees would be allocated. And whether this is achievable will depend in part on how much diversity there is in preferred and acceptable strategies within the trainer network.

Your use of this form will support us in effectively managing and working with the input we receive. It is accessible on any page of the CNVC website (click on the "Provide input/feedback to CNVC Governance teams" and then "Global Community Circle").

Again, we are hopeful that this initiative will result in a greater sense of connection between certified trainers and CNVC Governance, and increased effectiveness in our collectively moving toward realization of the visions that we share.

Warmly,
