Freedom Project is Embarking on a Two Week "200 Donor" Fundraiser
|
In support of our volunteers and for the inmates, the Freedom Project is embarking on a two week "200 Donor" campaign starting Monday, June 18, and ending Friday, June 29. Questions and Answers: How do I participate? Make a recurring monthly donation from $35 to $50 Can I modify or cancel my monthly donation? Yes. That can be done at any time. Simply click on the "Just Give" logo and notify us and we'll make the change. Is my contribution tax deductible? Yes. The Freedom Project is an IRS recognized 501(c)(3) organization. Donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by the law. Our EIN is 91-2129474. Can I give a different amount or a single donation? Of course. Donations in any amount are welcome--whether a monthly recurring or single donation. Can I send a check? Yes. If you'd rather send a check, make it payable to "Freedom Project," and send it to PO Box 31191, Seattle, WA 98103. Be sure to note on it "200 campaign." What if I am already a regular donor? If you're a regular donor or gave to the "Big Give" campaign last month sponsored by the Seattle Foundation, we're most grateful for your generous support. If you'd like to add to your support or increase your donation, that would be most welcome. But whatever your decision, please accept our thanks for supporting the Freedom Project. I'd like to give a Memorial donation. How do I do that? Fill in the "In the Name of" or "In Memory of" on the Just Give web page. Include an address if you wish the family to be notified of your gift. Does giving to the Freedom Project make a difference? Fran Howard, our Board President, noted the following: Over the past several years my interest expanded to the place where I now co-facilitate a weekly NVC class at WSR and occasional weekend workshops, regularly attend Community Circle, and am the cu I never thought that prison would be a place of hope and healing. But that is what it has been for me. Because of Freedom Project, I am a different person. Because of Freedom project, I have been freed from the prisons, (mostly of the mind) that had held me captive for much of my life. It has been said that "we're all doing time" in one way or another. Would you consider "doing time" at Freedom Project? We would love to have you be one of our prison volunteers, and if that is not possible, to "Just Give" of your financial resources to further our work. You will be amazed at how much you get when you give. Freedom Project, PO Box 31191, Seattle WA 98103, 206-325-5678 |

We're entering a critical time for the Freedom Project as we continue to serve the men and women incarcerated in our state prisons by teaching Nonviolent Communications and Mindfulness. We've had extraordinary enthusiasm from our volunteers who bring their skills inside the prisons to help make a reality of our motto: "from prisoners to peacemakers."
