This Practice Group begins with a "remembering" for inspiration, centering and connecting with ourselves. This is followed by a "check-in" when we share how we are, what we bring with us or what we hope to receive during the session. Activities include: short education exercises, empathy, role-plays, games and discussions. Participants can facilitate the group with prior arrangement with Rodger Sorrow

NVC enables us to connect empathically with other people, and helps us
to help them to connect empathically with us. But what do you do when
you are feeling angry or upset to the extent that you don't want to
empathise with them? And they feel the same about you?! We call this
empathy collision, and on this day we will explore what is happening in
these situations and how we can get around this impasse. This day will
be practice oriented, to help you develop and rejuvenate your skill
with NVC.

This training will interest you if:
• You have completed BNVC’s Foundations I-III and/or 60 + hours of NVC training
• You want to focus on what will truly meet your needs and bring joy into your life
• You desire a weekend of NVC community and fun, with space for deep learning, empathy, and
compassion!
TOPICS INCLUDE:
? Multi-layered observations---translating other’s judgments in “real time”
? Transforming self-judgments (loving our jackals)
? Taking responsibility for our choices; shifting “shoulds”
? Saying “yes” joyfully (supporting our connection to authenticity & power)
? Broadening/Deepening moments of choice
? Making requests of ourselves: Becoming fully aware of our vision & living it
? Making requests of others that truly make out lives wonderful
? Gratitude as healing & transformation
This event will include empathy group time and GRATITUDE CIRCLES, a unique practice developed by Brooklyn NVC!

The purpose of Radiant Giraffes is full embodiment of the spirituality of NVC, deepening our abilities to live in compassion with ourselves and others, through NVC and complementary modalities. Sessions will involve empathy, empathy coaching, self-empathy, honesty, role plays, Special Topics (guilt, anger, etc.), and new learnings. Between the sessions, Holly will initiate further opportunities for learning (readings, exercises, etc.) over email.

1. Introduces you to the steps of the NVC process for use in honestly expressing yourself, empathically listening to others and compassionately connecting to yourself
2. Will give you sufficient information and skills to start using NVC in your daily life
3. Is run in an experiential style working with examples from participants’ lives
4. Is challenging, moving, supportive and fun.

Kathi Aichner, Certified Trainer Candidate and/or Rodger Sorrow, Certified Trainer will lead this event.
