This Practice Group begins with a "remembering" for inspiration, centering and connecting with ourselves. This is followed by a "check-in" when we share how we are, what we bring with us or what we hope to receive during the session. Activities include: short education exercises, empathy, role-plays, games and discussions. Participants can facilitate the group with prior arrangement with Rodger Sorrow

No one turned away due to lack of funds -- work exchange and barter welcome.  | TIME: 7:15 pm - 9:30 pm one Friday each month, including April 11, May 16, and June 27, 2008 (contact Jeff for future dates) | DESCRIPTION: Most sessions will use the following format: a brief presentation of a particular NVC skill, followed by practice exercises and role playing real situations. Empathy and self-empathy are common themes, as well as compassionate honesty, gratitude, celebrating and mourning. NVC enables us to connect empathically with other people, and helps us
to help them to connect empathically with us. But what do you do when
you are feeling angry or upset to the extent that you don't want to
empathise with them? And they feel the same about you?! We call this
empathy collision, and on this day we will explore what is happening in
these situations and how we can get around this impasse. This day will
be practice oriented, to help you develop and rejuvenate your skill
with NVC.

Im Trainerinnen-Team wollen wir mit der Gruppe in erster Linie einen Raum schaffen, um die Haltung tiefer zu integrieren und wertschätzender mit sich selbst umzugehen. Damit möchten wir auch Menschen mit mehrjähriger GFK-Erfahrung
und werdende TrainerInnen einladen, ihre Kompetenzen durch Arbeit am
inneren Gleichgewicht abzurunden und GFK miteinander authentisch zu leben.

Nonviolent Communication är ett stöd för dig som vill lära dig kommunicera på sätt som skapar mer kontakt och mindre motstånd. Det är en kommunikationsprocess som hjälper oss att skapa en dialog där vi kan mötas i samförstånd. För den här kursen används ett digitalt klassrum där du får individuell feedback på din uppgifter. Där har du också möjlighet att dela funderingar och insikter med andra som går kursen.
Kursinnehåll: Varje vecka behandlar vi ett kapitel i boken Nonviolent Communication, ett språk för livet. Du gör övningar för att tillämpa det du lär.
Kursmoment och arbetssätt: Kursen är helt på distans, utan fasta träffar och vi möts via Internet. Du kan alltså befinna dig vart du vill så länge du har tillgång till Internet vilket innebär ett flexibelt lärande där du själv kan välja när du gör de uppgifter som följer med utbildningen.

In each 3-hour session, Holly teaches the concepts and demonstrates the skills within the context of the large group. She also convenes the large group at the end of each session for debriefing, homework assignments, and closing.

Holly is joined by Asharaine Machala, a member of the Apprenticeship Circle to coach participants in the break-out portion of each session. This one-on-one coaching leads to rapid integration of the skills introduced in the large group.
