The members of the CNVC Board of Directors govern the organization by articulating the vision, mission and aims of CNVC. They ensure its financial and legal integrity and establish board policies, strategies and objectives, including approving policies proposed by the Administrative Team and others. They also assign priorities and ensure the organization’s capacity to carry out programs by regularly reviewing its work. The Board of Directors provides continuity for the organization and also represents the organization’s point of view through interpretation of its products and services and through advocating for them.

Stefan Wisbauer
Board President

Stefan Wisbauer is the Managing Director at UK Preventive Medicine in London, England. He finds running iHealth & UK Preventive Medicine brings his passions for personal development, science and making a contribution together. He has an MPA in Economics, Leadership, Psychology and System Dynamics from Harvard University School of Government. Working for The World Bank, he developed the concept for Development Gateway (see www.developmentgateway.org) - a global coordination and collaboration/knowledge sharing portal for development uniting the World Bank, UN, Country Ministries, NGOs and Civil Society.

Irmtraud Kauschat - Secretary

My dream is to live in a world where every bodies needs matter, we connect with each other as human beings with the same needs all over the world. I am a member of the NVC community where we walk our talk with joy.

Irmtraud works as a medical doctor and has given NVC trainings in different countries, including Serbia/Croatia, Kenya and more recently Israel. Irmtraud has expertise in reconciliation between warring groups like in former Yugoslavia (in 1996 especially with youth from Serbia and Croatia), in Kenya with different communities that had been affected by the post-election violence in 2007/208, (in the Lake Victoria region through hot spots of violence like Eldoret and Nakuru in Rift Valley to a slum in Nairobi) as well as with two tribes from the north that had been at war with each other for about 30 years and most recently with people from Israel and Palestine.

She is a founding member and chairperson of her local circle in Darmstadt as well as of the German speaking network: D-A-CH and served as a member of GCC (NVC Global Community Circle) and coordinator of the EAC (English speaking NVC European. African Circle).

Dominic Barter

Dominic is the CNVC Restorative Justice Project Coordinator and CNVC Lusophone Project Coordinator.

Dominic Barter has studied the interface between societal and personal change, and the role of conflict, since the 1980s. Since 2004 he has worked as consultant and training program director for the Brazilian Restorative Justice pilot projects, in collaboration with the UN Development Program, UNESCO, the Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Education and Special Secretariat for Human Rights.

He has focused on developing effective models and training programs for practitioners to address youth crime and its consequences, as well as working with judges, school administrators, police, social services as well as youth and community leaders in supervising implementation. Dominic coordinates the Restorative Justice Project for the international Center for Nonviolent Communication.

Bob Wentworth - Treasurer

Bob Wentworth is a CNVC Certified Trainer, coach, and co-founder of Family HEART Camp (familyheartcamp.org). Bob focuses on ways to bring more love, empowerment, and wholeness into the world. Before discovering NVC, Bob realized that a key factor in most seemingly intractable social problems is our tendency to divide the world into Us and Them, and dismiss Them as somehow less than fully human and not worth listening to, thereby cutting off the flow of information needed to solve problems.

NVC is the best practical antidote he has found to this pervasive phenomenon, as well as offering a deep spiritual path. Bob has worked as a software architect and has a Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Stanford University.
