I envision a world where people are resolving their differences peacefully and creatively, where interdependence is recognized as a reality.
People have the tools to "work their process" in a way that empowers them to take responsibility for their feelings, thoughts and actions.
Mission:I contribute to the rising consciousness of humanity through sharing the principles and practices of Compassionate Communication, as developed by Dr. Marshall Rosenberg. In order to do this, I focus on developing and healing myself, so that I show up to others with more resources and compassion.
TESTIMONIALS:"I attended a Compassionate Communication workshop in Santa
Barbara, CA. We went into 'break-out' sessions after lunch and were
able to select what subject, presented that morning by an NVC
Practitoner, that we would like to learn about.I choose 2 sessions with Jeff Brown. One on Honesty, and the other on Abundance.
I won't explain the session in detail. Only to say that I have spent
well over $76,000 expanding my consciousness and looking for the 'Key'
to unlock whatever has been holding me back from achieving my full
potential in 58 years. In an afternoon, in a 'free' workshop, from
someone whom grew up not 50 miles from where I did, Jeff Brown
delivered!
I processed through my needs, meditated on them,
went deeper. Then, he walked us through mourning our unexpressed needs
and it was like an epiphany! I emotionally exploded, in a good way,
like a star being born. My energy is so high. My thoughts, so clear.
My zeal for life higher than I've ever known it to be.This is from a
woman who had a successful 35 year career. Retired into another
self-employed, successful career for an additional 13 + years. I feel
like today, I begin to live. To live fully and uncompromised!"
Thank you Jeff. Thank you for birthing my soul.

"The Ohio retreat on the NVC Dance Floors was all I hoped for and
more. Thank you for planning and carrying out such a thorough training
on these phenomenal tools! I appreciated the opportunities to dance
and coach on each dance floor, and by participating in both of these
ways, I gained a lot of confidence in my ability to use them for my own
inner work as well as share them effectively with others. I look
forward to starting a group in my area."Joan Newton, Los Angeles area, CA

"I wanted to thank you for the NVC training opportunity. I learned a lot even in just that one day and have used the tools
repeatedly since. I feel like these were the two tools (Needs/
Feelings & Jackal/Giraffe) missing from my box that I very much
needed to "get the job done" (in my relationships)."Mary Skillings, Twin Cities, MN, USA

"I want to express special thanks for this workshop which was my
first personal experience with NVC. Already it has helped me to feel a
shift in my life and interractions. I am filled with gratitude and
relief that I have new tools to use."Robin Kitowski Hobson, Indianapolis, IN
Public Message:More about me: I live in Columbus, Ohio and became a Certified Trainer with the Center for Nonviolent Communication in 2005. I have been studying and practicing NVC as a personal practice since 1999.
I earned a master's degree in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica in Los Angeles, CA in 2007. The work in my graduate program complemented my NVC and my ability to share NVC in an authentic, vibrant way greatly increased as a result of me doing this program.
I offer trainings, counseling and conflict resolution services to individuals, organizations and public groups throughout the U.S. and beyond. I have facilitated trainings for nonprofit organizations, social service agencies, schools, businesses and churches in 16 U.S. states and 4 countries.
In 2007 and 2008, I spent a total of 13 weeks in Asia (South Korea and Japan) sharing NVC. In the Fall of 2009, I will visit Europe for the first time and co-facilitate a training in the U.K. with my friend and colleague, Gina Lawrie.
On a personal note, I am active in the Mankind Project, an international men's organization that is a great source of support to me in remaining on purpose and carrying out my mission.
