to help them to connect empathically with us. But what do you do when
you are feeling angry or upset to the extent that you don't want to
empathise with them? And they feel the same about you?! We call this
empathy collision, and on this day we will explore what is happening in
these situations and how we can get around this impasse. This day will
be practice oriented, to help you develop and rejuvenate your skill
with NVC.

Course Description:

Course Description:

Deepening workshops of Nonviolent Communication (5x2 days, dates: May 12th/13th, June 9th/10th, August 16th/17th, September 16th/17th, Ocotber 14th/15th)
These 10 days will focus on “inner work” and exploring our relationships and dialogues with ourselves and situations that trigger us. The workshops will help you to discover choices we didn’t know we had and the tools to relate to yourself with a greater sense of compassion.
We offer the opportunity to come for the first workshop to get to know me and then sign up for the rest.
In my experience before we can connect compassionately with others we first need to learn to connect compassionately with ourselves.
The workshop is also an opportunity to become part of a group that continues developing NVC skills and consciousness over the time.

RR 201: Basics Friday/Saturday

Date:

Course Description:

Create extraordinary relationships one conversation at a time!  Whether you want to improve your relationship with yourself, your family, co-workers or community, your participation in this course will open new doors and expand your options.  You will gain concrete skills for resolving conflict and building trust in a multi-sensory learning environment that fosters safety, authenticity, depth and fun!

In each 3-hour session, Holly teaches the concepts and demonstrates the skills within the context of the large group.  She also convenes the large group at the end of each session for debriefing, homework assignments, and closing.

Holly is joined by Asharaine Machala, a member of the Apprenticeship Circle to coach participants in the break-out portion of each session.  This one-on-one coaching leads to rapid integration of the skills introduced in the large group.

Asharaine has been studying NVC with Holly Eckert for 5 years, as well as volunteering with the Alternatives to Violence Project in the men's prisons since 1999.   Her passion for understanding the whole Human Being: body, soul and spirit, has lead her through careers in the arts and the business world, always seeking spirit in matter and matter in spirit.

While the Radiant Relations Seminar Series rests fully within the consciousness of NVC, I also incorporate tools from additional modalities, including The Work of Byron Katie, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), The Secret, Voice Dialogue and Core Transformation.

Points

  • Two “Bonus Steps” (in addition to the material from the NVC book) that transform defensiveness in virtually every circumstance
  • One-on-one coaching with experienced facilitators
