Course Description:

WHAT ARE CORE BELIEFS:

They are foundational ideas which shape our experience and thus the quality of our lives. They generally contribute to, or even lock us into ongoing pain, and can manifest at any moment as a "jackal" reaction. Living unconsciously from these foundational beliefs can block us from fully living joyfully. Once we become aware of this system of beliefs and its impact on our lives, we are able to create new possibilities of freedom and clearer choices to live from our hearts and from the authenticity of our souls. Participants will be supported to identify beliefs in some basic areas, such as: Scarcity/Abundance … Struggle/Ease … High self value/Low self value … Safety/Danger … Win-Win/Win-Lose

Optional early morning yoga sessions, and some evening sessions including movement, Yoga, or Relaxation will be offered by Rhonda Mills.

Date:
2008-06-13 00:00 - 2008-06-15 00:00

Location(s)

Naya retreats on the Prince Island in Istanbul

Course Description:

The biggest challenge in today’s life seems to be finding ways to live peacefully together. Our way of living together is not always easy to master. We would like to come together for three days in June, to develop our abilities of living together so that we can bring our experiences and skills back to our everyday lives.

We intent to create an intensive experiential learning about how relationships work within these 3 days. We want to live in a community where we explore what can be created when people value connection and honesty, and learn tools that can help us in living these values.

The workshop is designed to offer the possibility for personal growth through deepening M.B.Rosenberg’s model of nonviolent communication (NVC) skills and creating an environment where trust and honesty, even around painful issues, are valued and where everyones needs are of equal importance.

The workshop includes presentations, exercises and skill practice in small groups, sharing group process, empathy groups, and informal practices during meals etc.
Part 1: Skill building – basic and advanced – depending on participants requests.
Part 2: Live group process – Applying the skills in the group to live the NVC values.

Who would benefit?
. People who have basic knowledge of NVC.
. People who wish to broaden and deepen their nonviolent communication skills.
. People wishing to take a step toward becoming certified NVC trainers.

Nada Ignjatovic Savic has been working as a university lecturer and researcher in developmental psychology at the University of Belgrade for 30 years. Course Description:
