This Practice Group begins with a "remembering" for inspiration, centering and connecting with ourselves. This is followed by a "check-in" when we share how we are, what we bring with us or what we hope to receive during the session. Activities include: short education exercises, empathy, role-plays, games and discussions. Participants can facilitate the group with prior arrangement with Rodger Sorrow

NVC is a concrete set of language and practical communication skills. Together, they form a powerful process that transforms conflict, creates harmony in relationships, and builds a world where everyone's needs are met peacefully.

Whether you want to improve your relationship with yourself, your family, co-workers or community, your participation in this course will open new doors and expand your options. You will gain concrete skills for resolving conflict and building trust in a multi-sensory learning environment that fosters safety, authenticity, depth and fun!
In each 3-hour session, Holly teaches the concepts and demonstrates the skills within the context of the large group. She also convenes the large group at the end of each session for debriefing, homework assignments, and closing.

Holly is joined by Asharaine Machala, a member of the Apprenticeship Circle to coach participants in the break-out portion of each session. This one-on-one coaching leads to rapid integration of the skills introduced in the large group.

This course is designed for those who want to make a fundamental transformation in the way they relate with their inner and outer worlds. You can expect to emerge from the 30 days with increased clarity, efficiency, connection, tenderness and strength as well as a new depth of confidence and peace.
The course is based in the practical and practicable, so you’ll find countless opportunities in daily life to apply your growing skills.

This complete course consists of:
• Five weekly classes of three hours each
• Daily homework of 30-60 minutes
• In-depth weekend assignments
• An online forum for homework processing and support
• One private session with Holly

FEE REQUEST: $20/session or $60/4 sessions prepaid. Empathy and self-empathy are common themes, as well as compassionate honesty, gratitude, celebrating and mourning. Nonviolent Communication är ett stöd för dig som vill lära dig kommunicera på sätt som skapar mer kontakt och mindre motstånd. Det är en kommunikationsprocess som hjälper oss att skapa en dialog där vi kan mötas i samförstånd. För den här kursen används ett digitalt klassrum där du får individuell feedback på din uppgifter. Där har du också möjlighet att dela funderingar och insikter med andra som går kursen.
Kursinnehåll: Varje vecka behandlar vi ett kapitel i boken Nonviolent Communication, ett språk för livet. Du gör övningar för att tillämpa det du lär.
Kursmoment och arbetssätt: Kursen är helt på distans, utan fasta träffar och vi möts via Internet. Du kan alltså befinna dig vart du vill så länge du har tillgång till Internet vilket innebär ett flexibelt lärande där du själv kan välja när du gör de uppgifter som följer med utbildningen.

NVC enables us to connect empathically with other people, and helps us
to help them to connect empathically with us. But what do you do when
you are feeling angry or upset to the extent that you don't want to
empathise with them? And they feel the same about you?! We call this
empathy collision, and on this day we will explore what is happening in
these situations and how we can get around this impasse. This day will
be practice oriented, to help you develop and rejuvenate your skill
with NVC.

Nonviolent (Compassionate) Communication by Dr. Marshall Rosenberg offers a clear, practical process for communicating without judging ourselves or others and to hear others' feelings and wants even though they might be hidden behind judgments and critici sm.

You will be learning the basic NVC steps as well as practice with your own examples.
