a strong basic foundation in NVC skills and consciousness

Course Description:

For detailed information, see our web site: www.nvctraininginstitute.com

"The Living Energy of Needs" supports the ongoing development of
foundational NVC skills and consciousness. In addition to supporting
core NVC skills, we have continued to develop our training over the
past five years to help participants practically access and live from
a deeper dimension of needs. We weave the experience of the living
energy of needs throughout the training, as the core dimension from
which we learn and live the NVC process.

In the words of recent participants…

“This is a totally new dimension of NVC that I never knew existed.  It
really resonates with my spiritual experiences.”

“I’ve been practicing NVC for 3 years and I am excited about the way your
training is touching into a level of depth that is unexpected.  Now I
can experience needs not as something lacking, but as a fullness.”

“I’ve been dealing with this issue for years, and today, for the first time,
using  this simple process [of transforming a core jackal belief with
the living energy of needs] I felt complete freedom with respect to
this limiting core belief.”

Join “The Living Energy of Needs” to strengthen your NVC skills and
deepen your ability to access the consciousness and life enriching
energy of needs beyond the simple identification of them.

The training will include opportunities to:

  • Identify your current strengths and growing edges in the application of NVC in your daily life
  • Learn an in depth process for self connection that transforms pain into life-supporting energy
  • Understand the core belief structures that shape our experience and perception and see their relationship to needs
  • Receive feedback and coaching on structured presentations
  • Deepen your understanding of the domination and partnership paradigms and the role of needs in each paradigm
  • Understand the spiritual foundation of NVC
  • Learn and live with a dynamic community of people who share a life-serving vision

Benefits of this Training:

  1. An Intensive Retreat Experience
Immerse yourself in the NVC consciousness.
    Renew and refresh your spirit.
Connect with others who are seeking to live from this way of understanding our experience.
  2. Concentrated NVC Processing and Growth
What are your unique challenges in living the process?
In what situations do you find yourself responding in ways you don't like? Or simply not knowing how to respond?

This retreat will offer focused opportunities to identify these
situations and to do the work to experience the shifts that will take
each of us to the next level of NVC consciousness.

Sample topics include: dealing with reactive triggers, staying
connected with yourself in tough situations, dealing with emotional
intensity (including anger), and giving and receiving honest feedback.

  3. Coached Practice in Sharing NVC (primarily for those already facilitating & teaching)
    • Get a chance to practice your skills in
      • Teaching
      • Leading / facilitating groups and/or
      • Mediation.
    • Learn by doing with coaching and guidance
    • Tailor your practice to the level and type of challenge you want, whatever your level of experience.
    • Receive
individualized feedback on your unique strengths and opportunities for
learning at this point on your NVC journey from these four very
      experienced trainers and mediators.
  4. Support for a Variety of Learning Styles
  5. While the majority of the workshop is designed to provide experiential
learning, there will also be opportunities for those who enjoy learning
by observation, and those who benefit from enhanced conceptual
understanding of the principles that underlie NVC.

For those who were left wanting more of the types of experiences created in our Advanced Trainings - here it is!

We look forward to co-creating this training with you!

Finances: If we receive tuition of 250 Euros for each participant it
would cover the costs of organizing the training and running it. Keep
in mind that some people in Eastern Europe need support for travel
costs and accommodation – so we are asking those that can give more to
provide 500 to 1100 Euros to support those who have no possibility to
cover their costs,
370 PLN/ 7 night accommodation & food (about 120 Euro)

Main language: English

Program facilitator: Eva Rambala

in the last 7 years I have put my heart and most of my time and energy
to spread peace in Eastern Europe in the form of teaching NVC. Because
of my good luck I got the chance to travel and meet NVC people from
completely different cultures. I would like to offer this possibility
to other people as well. So in this training you will get the chance
not just to be among experienced NVC folks but to experience how it
works for people with total different backgrounds.

We are going to use some elements of Open Space, Sociocratic decision making

People rave about the warmth, growth and learning in previous
NY Intensives (see
testimonials)
. We are confident that you will gain similarly from the 5th NY
IRT. We have invited certified trainers from the CNVC network to form a team
with a broad range of learning styles and areas of specialization. Collectively,
they bring over 50 years of training experience.

Prerequisites: The NY IRT is
designed to accommodate the needs of persons at beginning, intermediate and
advanced levels in NVC (see below for description of format). Though there are
no prerequisites, beginners will find their experience is enriched by reading
Nonviolent Communication by Marshall B. Rosenberg in advance of
attending and by participating in the Fundamentals track for the first three
days of training. Intermediate and advanced training sessions are offered at
every session starting with the first day.

Format: For beginners and persons
wanting thorough coverage of the foundational NVC skills, a Special Track in NVC
Fundamentals is offered at each session during the first three days. We
recommend that those participants who have not had at least two days of training
with a certified trainer take advantage of the Special Track programming. A
variety of offerings of more advanced programming will also be available
starting with the first day for those who begin the intensive with a thorough
understanding of the fundamentals.

A Telephone Course (Telecourse) with CNVC Certified Trainer Miki Kashtan, Author and Co-founder of Bay Area Nonviolent Communication and the North America NVC Leadership Program, from Oakland, California, USA

"The Heart of the Matter" is one session that will be repeated two different days/times in an effort to accommodate the worldwide NVC community. Miki suggests taking both sessions because the class is so interactive, that different topics will arise and be explored in the two classes.

Tuesday, June 24, 2008 • 9:30 - 11:30 AM PDT
Tuesday, July 1, 2008 • 6:00 - 8:00 PM PDT

* Do you want to increase your capacity to identify and connect with feelings and needs?
* Would you like to enhance your ability to translate judgments?

Many people experience tremendous hope for connection and a richer life when they encounter NVC, and often become discouraged after awhile as they attempt to integrate their excitement into usable skills. In particular, people often struggle with identifying and working with feelings and needs, and remain disconnected from need words even when able to identify them.

In this telecourse you will learn tips for how to identify and connect with feelings and needs, both your own and others’. The focus of this class is on skill more so than the depth of NVC consciousness we want to bring to our practice.

In this class you’ll learn skills and practices to:

* Identify your basic feeling “flavor” and increase your fluency with feeling words

* Recognize the needs hidden within hard-to-hear messages

* Focus on naming the full specificity of the need you notice

* Tune in to your body to sense when connection has been made

"Miki, I really admire the way you are able to be so present in the moment and are able to respond so well to what you see and sense. Just watching you in action makes this course worthwhile to me." — S.G., Litchfield, Connecticut, USA

Fee: $19 USD: All registrants receive access to a recording of the course.

Course Description:

WHAT ARE CORE BELIEFS:

They are foundational ideas which shape our experience and thus the quality of our lives. They generally contribute to, or even lock us into ongoing pain, and can manifest at any moment as a "jackal" reaction. Living unconsciously from these foundational beliefs can block us from fully living joyfully. Once we become aware of this system of beliefs and its impact on our lives, we are able to create new possibilities of freedom and clearer choices to live from our hearts and from the authenticity of our souls. Participants will be supported to identify beliefs in some basic areas, such as: Scarcity/Abundance … Struggle/Ease … High self value/Low self value … Safety/Danger … Win-Win/Win-Lose

Optional early morning yoga sessions, and some evening sessions including movement, Yoga, or Relaxation will be offered by Rhonda Mills.
