Course Description:

For practitioners of Nonviolent Communication (NVC), this is not a question! In this workshop, you will take the first step in developing the tools and consciousness you need to understand what triggers you, deepen your connection with yourself and others, and ultimately transform your habitual responses to life. In particular, we will explore how kvetching can alert us to what matters most for others and ourselves; by listening more deeply, we can foster understanding and compassion. Learning NVC is similar to learning a new language. While it takes time to develop fluency, any knowledge of a new language makes it more likely that communication can take place that is effective, connecting, and life serving. To Kvetch--or Not to Kvetch? will teach you the first steps towards transforming conflict and difference into understanding, and provide you with communication tools that ensure that your needs--as well as those of others--can be heard and held with care.
