About Translation
We are looking at ways to view shared NVC with people who do not speak English.
About 15 volunteers are helping us translate pages into German, French, and Spanish. As these people are volunteers progress is somewhat slow. If you come to a page with the French, German, Spanish or English flags you can click on those flags to see a human translated version of the document. As time goes by we hope to have more and more pages translated into French, German and Spanish.
We are also currently experimenting with an automated translation service powered by Google. At the top of each page there is a drop down list from which you can select your language. When you are looking at the translated page, you can place your mouse pointer over a sentence to see the original English.
We have found that the translations provided by the automated software are less than perfect; however, feedback indicates that they still provide value - learning, understanding and connection - for those who do not speak English.
